Things I'd Like Added To /gpose

Dear Square Enix,

The ability to take fantastic screenshots is central to my method of making webcomics.
In fact, I have a FFXIV webcomic titled Gold and Honor that I started in November.

As good as /gpose is, I have run into some issues while using it. I'd like to offer my input into new features I would like to see added to /gpose which would improve its flexibility for us web cartoonists.

1. The ability to point further up and down. Sometimes, you just need the camera to move further than it does.

2. The ability to use combat abilities in /gpose when not in combat. This is important as fighting and action make for compelling stories. Having all my fights occur around training dummies really sticks out like a sore thumb.

3. The ability to use limit break in /gpose when not in combat. Not as important but it would make the finales of my major combat pages more impressive.

4. A blue or green screen option. This would make it a lot easier to set up scenes without needing to bring everyone/everything to the same spot at the same time.

5. The ability to control the time of day or night. This would be a huge help.

I greatly enjoy the /gpose feature and appreciate all the hard work you have put into it. Thank you for providing it and thank for listening to my suggestions.

You can achieve this in a couple of ways using tools outside of the game. Just google ffxiv green screen for some options.

I'd like the ability to pose NPCs or enemies in the shot. Imagine being able to easily pose yourself fistbumping Estinien, or dueling with Ifrit, or finally giving Tataru that hug she desperately needed in 4.5.

I wouldn’t mind the ability to pick where I want my lights to be. Maybe it’s in there and I haven’t figured it out though

Turn the camera before you turn the lights on. It'll set the source behind the camera. Then you can move the camera and the light stays where you left it.

You have limited control over it. Essential lighting style 1, 2 and 3 are different placements of the lights, but they're fixed in place so you only get those 3 placements.

I'd like to see race locked animations unlocked in gpose only.

Ever since I finished ShB I have wanted the light sky before you make it night sky as an option, I loved the lighting in that and was amazing for photos.. but as i completed the story I cant take those anymore, every sky is gone :/

Start ShB in NG+ and the sky will return. You can toggle it on and off easily enough to use for screenshots.
