Always Bigger Fish Quest

Anyone else having problems with dafangshi not showing up at any of the sunken ship lvl 70 nodes. I used all 3 spear heads and caught over 300 fish and not one dafangshi ever showed up. I caught lots of Ichthyosaur but none of them and spent over an hour there. Is this quest bugged?

Assuming you have Truth of Oceans on, after 7 Ichthyosaur spears, a new node shows up.
Sorta like Unspoiled Nodes for miner or botanist.

Like Canadane said, the quest fish come from a different node. Truth of the Oceans will let 'hidden' nodes spawn if you catch certain other fish. Catch seven Ichthyosaur with it active and a new node should spawn.

It never showed up and caught 30 Ichthyosaurs also I have Truth of the Oceans always turned on. So must be bugged for me then if node for them never spawns. Maybe I should drop the quest and take it again to see if that fixes it.

I remember not having any trouble with this quest, so lets check some things before giving up:

- you already said that you have Truth of the Ocean turned on, so we can skip that
- did you caught all the Ichthyosaurs without leaving the area? You dont need to catch them back-to-back, but in one sitting, so to speak.
- the "Unspoiled teeming waters" will appear a bit to the side, not amongst the normal nodes - did you ever see a message about a "swimming shadow" near by?
- just in case you hit the Teeming Waters already: did you make sure to switch from larger to normal?

...maybe it is bugged and re-accepting it will fix it - could still be user error aswell, though...

Never left the area. I was there for about hour and 20 minutes and caught 30 Ichthyosaurs and over 270 of different types of fish using large spear head 95% time was there. Think had problem like this with another quest once. I dropped it and touch it again and fixed the problem. Before do going to try again today. I turned in bug report yesterday before logged out.

Went back today caught 7 Ichthyosaurs and node showed up this time and finished the quest. Very weird it never showed up last night.
