I mean it's terrible what is happening over there, but they're still in denial what is happening is caused by Climate Change. Opting instead of murder 10,000 camels seeking water vs tackling the actual underlying cause of the issue.

(Not that my Government is much better)

The camels aren't native and are basically feral, it's pretty standard to cull invasive introduced animals to ensure they don't out-complete native wildlife.

EDIT: Since the 200 arsonists claim is being repeated on this page, I feel it necessary to reiterate that the NSW Rural Fire Service Inspector stated that the majority of fires were caused by lightning strikes and embers from existing fires.
