The party should be syncing their sprint with the tank in a dungeon, not the other way around.
That's not at all what that means, but if thats what you wanna glean from it, sure. I don't personally use sprint in boss fights in dungeons just because there's no mechanic thats not telegraphed for 8 years before it goes off. That's not to say you can't. However, its a minute long cooldown,, so if you're the type of person to moan about the tank getting too far ahead when they're doing big pulls, you should try and plan for sprint to be off cooldown by the time the boss fight is over.
