    SE please FIX SS rank minions from despawning

    For those in the hunting community, a certain group of ppl are purposely despawning SS rank minions so grief the player base. Unfortunately even with all the reports against said ppl, SE has done nothing.

    Easy fix SE, make the minions no longer despawn if engaged and lose enmity.

    how do you purposefully despawn the adds? just not attack them?

    You simply aggro them and run/fly away/die. If they reset, they despawn immediately and fail the SS. When an S pops, the griefer can wait at the add spawn point, wait for a potential SS trigger and immediately reset it.

    ooh i see, thank you for explaining. that seems like a poor design choice so i can see why op is frustrated.

    I think the best option is to add a despawn timer like 1min for the minions if they reset. So even if someone tried to despawn them, there's still a 1 min timer that has to pass before they despawn if they weren't attacked.

    I'm not a pro hunter so perhaps there is a detail in design I'm missing as to why not, but wouldn't it just make much more sense to, as the OP suggested, make adds not de-spawn when they de-aggro? Adding a de-spawn timer to adds seems like a clunky solution.

    They were designed to despawn if players failed to kill them. So to preserve the dev team's design choice and also prevent trolls, that's the solution I think they can use.

    Edit: Or! they can do like they did with Ovni for BA and delay the spawn timer of the minions. This seems to be a much better option, now that I think about it lol.

    In Hydatos, people were leaving Ovni's FATE zone just to catch a portal. And Ovni at some points would target one of those players for an attack and start to follow that player and ends up resetting. So SE made it that you can't get the portal buff unless you kill Ovni and remain in the FATE zone to get it. And further more, portals would only appear after a certain time has passed.

    They should make it, that if a mob/hunt/fateboss de-aggros off someone due to the player leaving the area, that they should just immediately target the next highest in threat, rather than resetting/despawning. Would make things less griefable.

    The despawn timer is pointless when the minions have fixed spawn points that are well-documented at this point so the only actual risk of failure is from someone engaging a minion solo then resetting it whether accidentally or intentionally.

    They should just give a longer timer that the minions need to be killed within (Like maybe 10 minutes or so) but does allow them to be reset without a failure.

    The dumb thing about this whole situation is that as the TC stated, the GMs are somehow unable/unwilling to punish the ones currently involved in the practice when their intent is painfully obvious. I don't care if the minions despawning because of someone's stupidity is "working as intended", because it's scarcely different from resetting the S rank itself which is a behavior people have been punished for on multiple occasions.

    Well, something needs to be done about it, because griefers keep despawning the SS minions.
