I don't get the ending (spoiler)

I can't see them resolve this until 5.3, though I have this odd feeling that Thancred might stay behind for Ryne, or his source body started to decay since he was the first to be "ported" over... I feel his "arc" is done after we finish with Eden. Heck, he's and Urianger are part of the Eden arc but I can see Urianger bow out and it's just Thancred, Ryne and the mystery woman that we haven't seen yet.

Everyone gets to go back, even Ryne gets to move over to the Source with us and play a much LARGER part of the overall XIV story since she has that gift of hers.

I'm honestly hoping in thsi because I like her and it would hurt to lose her, though I'm not sure it cwould be possible.

She has Super Minfillia powers. I could easily see something like "the power of the Voice of the Mother allows her to travel to different worlds because something something Hydaelyn something Thancred would be sad without his super waifu".

I think Ryne staying on the First would be more fitting. She's strongly tied to the place and someone needs to stay behind to help safeguard it after the Warrior of Light returns to the Source. I expect Thancred to choose to stay behind for her sake with the implication that he is living on borrowed time. Conveniently the 'time bubble' that the plot embraces means that there isn't any pressure for the writers to follow up on that until later on, if ever.
