Lifespan/age of different races?

Miqote have the shortest life span of all the race based on what the lore book says.

There's nothing in the lorebook about Miqo'te having shorter lifespans than other races. Certainly not in the race profiles, anyway.

I don't know where that idea comes from unless people are just extrapolating from their lifestyle and assuming that more of them probably don't live to old age.

I feel like there’s a lot of “facts” that originate on RP forums and get circled around enough where people start to believe them. Half-breed kids taking after their mom’s race is one of those.

While it's not something stated as an outright fact in the lore, I should point out that that idea isn't just some random thing that cropped up. It's an inference based off of what we've been shown thus far with the three known mixed race NPCs in the game. Arenvald has a Highlander mother/Garlean father and has a typical Highlander model with no obvious Garlean traits. Hilda has a Hyur mother/Elezen father and has a Hyuran model with Elezen ears. And while the Hyur/Au Ra offspring mentioned in one of the Sui-no-Sato sidequest chains could go either way since there's no model, the fact that the only oddity mentioned was that he had almost no scales makes it likely he followed the same general pattern of "mother's race with a father-influenced quirk" that's started appearing since HW and that he still had the horns and tail typical of Au Ra.

Koji Fox stated in a panel at one of the Fan Festivals that the five races (pre Au Ra) have lifespans of about 100-120 years with Elezen having longer lifespans, but mentions most probably dont live that long. There hasn't been an update to this officially since adding Au Ra, Viera and Hrothgar however.

I have the both volumes and there's nothing in there that mentions that. The only thing I can find that calls out miqo'te at all in the 2nd voulume is the section on the M tribe, and 1 sentence near the end where it compares them to beastmen, and the in-universe author is asking why they're not beastmen but goblins are. It could be in a throwaway line somewhere else, but I can't find anything.

Glanced through Sounsyy's lore compilation on Miqo'te and while it's possible it might have overlooked, there doesn't appear to be a quote from the second lorebook about it. Some light googling on the matter has led me to an incorrect article from 2015 on a fandom site called ffxivlore (which has also apparently since been corrected, though only recently) that stated "Miqo'te have the shortest lifespan of all Eorzean races, living around 50 to 60 years" (this is the quote from the article prior to its revision in July of 2019). Also to a tweet by some guy by the handle of coeurlclaw, but they don't provide any citation, so... yeah. Dunno why anyone would take that seriously. Putting the tweeter's supposed quote of “miqo’te have notoriously short lifespans” only turns up their own tweet, and what appears to be an archive of an old fanfiction from Archive of Our Own, but no sources.

Thank you for linked evidence. It seems that even Hyur can live a while if circumstances allow it, but of course considering Eorzea is a dangerous fantasy world, also makes sense most people don’t live past 50.

Dialogue in 5.45 with Bwagi confirms that Bangaa live about twice as long as Hyurs.
This is consistent with their FFXII lifespans.
