Child-like characters?

Thancred is 32 but apparently there's some lore somewhere about Sharlayans using enchantments to look younger than they really are - I'm not sure about the source of that, but it's consistent with him suddenly looking noticeably older at the point where he loses the ability to use magic. Because he's not in his real body currently on the First, apparently he reverted to his preferred appearance (however exactly that worked).

I thought he lost the ability to wield magics, from when he was caught up in the Flow spell. The lifestream trip affected him. He even commented on this disparity following him to the first because of it


On topic. It is not a case of having these avatars......its a case of what people will do with them unfortunatly, and SE knows this. So its just a situation where the few ruin it for everyone else.

Thancred looks 32 to me o.o
It depends on the person, some people look more rugged at their 30s, especially in Western lands, but some others don't. He looks adult and mature enough in my eyes.

I don't see a problem when lala's and female au ra's is or can be child sized. My female au ra has lowest height setting and it's same height as children npc's. Most male npc's my characters head is only to there waist.

The problem is that people are asking explicit for (younger) child versions of races. Not a child sized race, not shorter height options, but actually asking to be teens and children. No amount of "But my character that is explicitly an adult as as tall as the tall races children" will fix that.

But, i would certainly like another race with heights between Au Ra and Lalafells; a second cute race with actual knees, that doesn't look weird when wearing most helmets

But SE doesn't like the idea of creating playable children and thrusting them into violent situations where several people are actively trying to murderize you. Remember the entire MSQ and think to yourself that you wouldn't be horrified if a child was doing those things. "Hey lets send this kid alone into the bowl of embers to fight a god because he has the echo and we don't."

Remember the entire MSQ and think to yourself that you wouldn't be horrified if a child was doing those things. This is the most sensible reason, but I'd say not because people in the real world would have problems with the violence toward children but that people in the game world would. The MSQ isn't going to happen when the quest NPCs refuse to send a 10-year-old on a dangerous mission.

As well as being drugged (HW) and almost outright killed in the middle of a war because the Crystal Exarch is really bad at timing his phone calls. Then there's the whole Squadron thing (not violent, but more unrealistic). No adult would be happy to have a child being their leader, or outranking them.

A child that became a captain on it's GC, defeats high ranked people from the empire that no one else can hurt, kills gods and ancient beings, destroys alien robots, liberates nations, and travels to another world to save it. yeah, who would like to receive order from someone like that XD
