When the game's story becomes self-aware:

Ohh, The Praetorium. It's so stupid, it's kinda fun to watch
When i see aLalafellcharacter wearing a cute glam

I am not opposed to aging up alphinaud and what not. To be frank, the whole 'time bubble' off hand excuse they use is stupid and offers almost nothing other than a loop hole for them to not age up the models (which is a resource issue on their end, not a plot issue). The whole "weve done everything from 2.0 till current in the spam of a month or two is just rediculous. So yeah, Age em up. Give us a reference of time passing and the weight of that.I am actually for the ageing up of the younger characters through the MSQ.
They were introduced via the story line, but time has past and event have unfolded. The idea of them maturing physically would only be natural, my own character has already had a five year skip in the MSQ due to being a 1.0 WoL, surly comrades of then have changed in a number of ways. Should a possible, other time skip happen (or time shenanigans become a thing), it would stand to reason these characters would get older.
That would be awesome, circumventing this entire issue would be an epic move. Great idea!
And again, to reiterate, I wouldnt be opposed to redesigns of lalafells and the like to better suit their reasons given about characters. While I love many things about lalafells (and Im just a sucker for short characters in general), I think the design could use some work. Tube arms and shoulders so narrow that it causes strange clipping issues is really dumb. Minor definition changes to the frame could make the world of a difference in off setting a lot of the criticism the race gets. But thats on SE to spend money fixing that, and I dont think they would. And I know for sure that even if they were too, they wouldnt cause there would be those who would step in and say that the design updates are ugly or bad or what not, even if they offered everyone a free fantasia to change if they dont dig the new design so they can choose another race. Number one way to piss off players is to mess with glamour and/or character appearance.

I could get behind this idea. I love Lalas too. The cuteness overload that you can pull off with them always draws me back to them and I always keep one of my mains as a Lala. My only problem has always been the lack of shape with their teddy bear or Hello Kitty- like bodies. They're just too tube-like and I seriously wish there was a rework or upgrade to them. I really don't care much for any of the possible negative vibes because that can be attached to anything they add to this game. ( I mean we have people who complain about MSQ as if they have to keep signing up for it). Sliders or a new short race, either one would satisfy me to make the perfect short character.

I'm with SE on this, there's no reason to include child player characters. Also, ya'll arguing preteen Ryne "looks older" or are shipping her with Thancred are being really creepy. I hope you don't have the same energy about actual preteens that you deem look "old enough".

Love don't judge. And Ryne is like 14 (?) that's probably legal somewhere, right?I'm with SE on this, there's no reason to include child player characters. I never really got the Thancred/Minifila shippers before when Thancred was more of a father figure to her, but I could at least sorta see it. With Ryne I'm utterly baffled that anyone would read anything romantic into that or want them to get together.I'm with SE on this, there's no reason to include child player characters. I'm writing a fanfiction where I ship Ryne with Thancred. Because of the time dilation between our home world and the world we are visiting, Thancred and the Scions manage to get back to their real bodies and return to the fight against the Garleans. It has only been months for the Scions while Ryne has spent a decade researching a way to safely transport her body to our world. Upon traveling to our world and getting lost, leads her on a journey of self discovery and Ryne realizes that what she's feeling towards Thancred isn't simple familial love, but something much deeper.
Will this one sided love ever be returned? Will Ryne ever muster up the courage to tell Thancred she loves him when she finally finds the Scions? If Thancred does return Rynes love, will he hate himself for "betraying" Minfilia his last lover?

The creep factor comes in because Thancred sorta helped raise Minfilia for 15 years after her dad died in the 1.0 Ul’dah intro echo scene. It’s touched on more in 1.0. At the very least he was a big brother figure and has known her since she was 12. In 2.0, Minfilia is 27 and Thancred is 32, but his age is locked in at ~27 since he’s an archon if that means anything. I still wouldn’t ship it. And Ryne is right out.The whole Thancred/Minfillia shipping I think has more to do with their interactions in 2.0. He doesnt come across as being all that much older than her by any substantial margin, nor does he look it. For me at least, I got the vibe is was some early - mid 20 something free spirited playboy guy who acted teh clown but came through in a pinch, where Minfillia was more a 19-22 YO serious no nonsense type with a soft side. Thancred never struck me as being a father figure for her, or that Minfillia saw him that way, atleast not in 2.0
