Players Purposefully Despawning Forgiven Gossips Are Not Being Punished

How long do these threads usually go on before a GM/Mod/Etc actually walks in and says any sort of thing about the subject, or is there a possibility that we won't even get a "We'll look into it" at all. The longer it takes, the more Forgiven Gossips get de-spawned, the less we see those Rebellions. Give me that "Gossip won't de-spawn till it's 5 minute timer is up" please.

We've kept getting cookie cutter responses of "Please keep sending in more reports" since November and they still haven't done anything. I honestly feel like we're being lied to at this point as they'll specifically say "We can't help you with this" when it comes to other incidents, yet they've basically put us on hold indefinitely when it comes to this matter.

I'm doubting any disciplinary action is ever actually going to be taken as there's evidently a huge flaw in how they go about investigating incidents like this if it's seriously taking them this long to recognize an obvious pattern of behavior that's being used to grief others.

It's way worse then a typical case of social misconduct as it's affecting dozens of players negatively and thus I pray that if they do finally decide to do something they just skip straight to a permaban when they realize it's been done deliberately and repeatedly over the course of months.

The community representatives are barely present on this site these days, in favour of retweeting screenshots and art over on the official FFXIV Twitter and Facebook accounts. It's entirely possible that the development team are completely unaware of legitimate issues afflicting the game as a consequence, be it this situation or the unfortunate fact that players with European accounts have yet to be given a promotion to acquire the Black Fat Chocobo mount that Japanese and American players already have access to.

Regarding the FORGIVEN Rebellion minions, what this thread has lacked and refused to acknowledge is the back up counter-measure to the minions SE has in place. You all want to complain about the despawns, but if you all stick around after one despawns, you can still kill the remaining minions. Once the total minion count reaches 4 across multiple spawns, FORGIVEN Rebellion will spawn. That's why it's not ToS breaking. That's why it's not griefing. SE expects minions to despawn, therefore they have that fail safe mechanic measure in place. The problem is, none of you stick around. None of you finish the task at hand if a minion despawns. You all give up, and leave. And if you want to get technical, a lot of times when a minion gets despawned, another one is already engaged, and a lot of times also gets despawned because you all give up and quit. That in itself, in your book, is griefing and should be against ToS, because you are despawning minions yourself and they do not count towards the 4 count minion total to spawn FORGIVEN Rebellion.

Yes, it does.

Considering the rarity of the minion spawn to begin with, you're really gambling if you'll even see minions appear on the same map again before another maintenance comes in.

It would seem to me that, if someone were observed purposefully despawning a minion needed for the current counter with a scheduled maintenance imminent before the opening of the next window, that specific action could not be defined as anything other than griefing.

Perhaps what is required now is a shout, when warranted, to the entire zone reminding everyone when the next scheduled maintenance is relative to the pertinent timer, so that no individual caught in the act (particularly those with known history of poor sportsmanship) could claim they had no cognizance of the repercussions of their actions.

From my understanding, it was a public hunt community gathering that was posted in the Discord that has 300 members. Pretty easy to see how it was leaked.

You talk about how this isn't the place to talk and debate about hunt ethics, yet here you are talking about hunt ethics and how you stalk and follow these trolls around. Say what you want, but to play and pretend to be a victim, when you and your hunt community is literally just as bad, is laughable.

The two people that are talked about in this thread in regards to the despawns, do you know what they do? they spawn s ranks, unlike most people in here who camp aetherytes. They call out their spawns. And they mark their kills. Can't say the same about the hunt community abroad lately. they refuse to mark kills, keep their own private trackers, chastise the casuals who mark hunts publicly, and they're holding their s rank callouts. Y'all ain't a hunt community. You're a community only concerned about stopping 2 or 3 trolls.

Bouncing responsibility from griefers to the rest of the community is not logical, to say the least.

It turns out that some salty sailor is now using teleport hacks to despawn the minions and for general hunt trolling (Because trying to do it normally wasn't working out). He basically teleports to the spawn points of all four minions within the matter of a few seconds, so if they aren't engaged by other players instantly it's a bust.

Unfortunately, he hasn't been banned yet despite people capturing actual video footage of it happening.

They're also an associate of the original hunt troll people were complaining about earlier in this thread (Who seems to have either quit or gone on vacation).
