Give Highlanders eyebrows already

ESPECIALLY WARRIOR OF LIGHT HIGHLANDERS who appear to have no direct ties to Eorzea at all, let alone ala mhigo specifically, with the way the msq is written. Also Ala Mhigo has been liberated for a while now they can let their eyebrows grow out again. Maybe the real reason is one of the artists is a big fan of super saiyan 3 from dragonball.

I actually started playing the game as a Highlander (hence my forum name). I've tried to play one a few times since that point and I love how tall and beefy they are. Yet every time I end up going back playing a Midlander because the lack of Highlander eyebrows just ends up bothering me way too much to stick with it.

Wait what? There is actually something in the lore of the game I've been missing the last few years that actually explains why they don't have eyebrows? LOL (and yes I'm sure I could google this, but I don't want to)

Edit: Okay so I did google it...and REALLY? All they do is shave them off? So they clearly do have "eyebrows" and this should be an option (not the stupid painted on ones under face paint options).

well unless you can really present a solid case to the devs it's not gonna change anytime soon. it's baked into the main lore of the game. not something to be changed on a whim just because "i wanna have them".

And duskwight elezen aren't supposed to exist above ground, nor should the be allowed to enter the twelveswood without invoking the wrath of the elementals.... yet here we are. Lore isn't a valid reason to say this shouldn't be allowed.

Our very player characters already ignore most of the racial/clan lore, aside from being of unknown origin. Who is to say they'd even be following traditions anyways? Should we also ask SE to remove all the formerly tribal/clannish city Miqo'te because they're not acting like the Keepers/Seekers they are in the lore? Or ask that all Duskwight NPCs please either become poachers or go back to hiding in Gelmorra? Plenty of characters/NPCs don't follow their norms and traditions. It'd be a nice option if SE allowed the player character to as well given our already very limited character creator options.

Yeah, saying "b-b-but the lore!" really doesn't hold any weight. The devs have changed their own lore so many times, and will change it many more.

And yet not once had it ever bothered me while playing and interacting with NPCs. Matter of fact, I didn't even notice until I read one of these threads.

Even male Au Ra have the option to have eyebrows... Highlanders should have the option too.
Though seeing as the devs are struggling even to add the stubble from the ShB benchmark, I doubt it'll happen anytime soon...

The eyebrow thing doesn't bother me as much as the fact that Highlanders have 4 faces, 3 of which are ugly as sin. And the only one with a beard that I like has a neanderthal forehead and Roegadyn-like nose. They are not a pretty people. Someone actually asked me if a glam I made was modded because the Highlander looked hotter than normal, but it was just the fact that I was using a headwrap that covered the jutting forehead and nose.

I play one more for the stature than anything.

But I doubt SE would change anything. Apparently even putting in eyebrows would cause the entire system to have a meltdown of such epic proportions the government would have to step in to declare a national emergency. Or something.

I think it's just probably system/ coding limitations at this point. They'd have to sacrifice a facial feature in order (a scar option maybe?) for them to make a toggleable eyebrow like with the male Au Ra.

But knowing SE, they'd double down on the lore reasoning why they lack eyebrows if somebody asks them to give Highlanders eyebrows. Funny how even the Highlander-equivalent on the 1st Shard seem to share the same lore.
