Yes pls. And while at it a wolf too... and maybe a neutral dragon.... idk why they cant give that for ppl that dont wanna grind ex trials. Putting that behind an archivment or smt is basically 0 work.I was actually looking to make a thread on this. I really want a pleb horse to ride. The model not only exists already, but you can actually ride them during the namazu quests. That means they already validated all of the rigging and everything. Shouldn't take much work at all to make it a mount you can have.
I'd also like a vanilla falcon like the ones you ride in the Far East.
Horses are so overwhelmingly rare in the Final Fantasy multiverse that unless you're from the Azim Steppes (and even then, based on some of the quest lines, unless you're a Mol tribesman, you're not getting a horse), you probably think they're fantasy creatures, and a 'simple villager' with a horse would mean you'd clearly be a primal pretending to be a human, and burn the witch would be had by all.I sport a lot of simple villager glams, and would very much like a basic brown horse mount to go with it
Look at the current horse mounts. All of them are primals or are tied to primals/myth (Odin rides one, ixion is one, the primal cycle mounts are based in Mythology; Enbarr is the Irish god Lugh's steed, Xanthos is one of Poseidon's horses that drew Achilles' chariot in the trojan war, Gullfaxi is Thor's sons horse. Aithon is a common name for horses in greek myth [Hades, Helios and Ares had one] though the one in game is probably based on Hector's, given Trojan war connections to Xanthos . Even Nightmare is based on the Old English / Germanoslavic folkale of incubi).
The exception is the HoH horse, and its even considered to be a legend in 14's lore.
In short, you're probably not riding a horse without some kind of heroic feat.

that does raise a good point, just because something is mundane in our world doens't meanit's mundane in HydaelynHorses are so overwhelmingly rare in the Final Fantasy multiverse that unless you're from the Azim Steppes (and even then, based on some of the quest lines, unless you're a Mol tribesman, you're not getting a horse), you probably think they're fantasy creatures, and a 'simple villager' with a horse would mean you'd clearly be a primal pretending to be a human, and burn the witch would be had by all.

I second the request for a plain horse and wolf mount. If we have to do something cool in the azim steppe to prove our bravery/prowess, so be it (I love hanging out there anyway, mostly for the soundtrack).
It's possible to see a plain horse make it to the Mog Station for cheap, but its armor would be an additional fee![]()
"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
On the other hand, my character is a from the far east, who had a lover from the steppe before she sailed to Eorzea, so it's not out of character for her. xPHorses are so overwhelmingly rare in the Final Fantasy multiverse that unless you're from the Azim Steppes (and even then, based on some of the quest lines, unless you're a Mol tribesman, you're not getting a horse), you probably think they're fantasy creatures, and a 'simple villager' with a horse would mean you'd clearly be a primal pretending to be a human, and burn the witch would be had by all.

But yeah. In scope of what we can decipher from FFXIV, especially Eorzea in particular, that would be unusual for a villager.
