ntdll.dll error; launcher will not launch

    Hi everyone,

After a couple weeks of trying I am about at the end of my rope with this problem. After rolling back a windows 10 update a few weeks ago that caused issues unrelated to FFXIV (steam version) on my laptop, the game has been unable to launch. The launcher appears for a few seconds, then closes with no additional popup or warning. However, in event viewer, the following error is recorded:

    Log Name: Application
    Source: Application Error

Seeing that it is a ntdll.dll error, I've tried to follow the steps outlined in https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-n...ror-on-windows and https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-fix-...errors-2624474

As far as I can tell, all my drivers are up to date and my laptops memory is not damaged. Uninstalling and reinstalling ffxiv does not work. I've gone as far as doing a clean install of windows, but still get the same error. My desktop does not receive this error and runs FFXIV just fine, only my laptop. I suspect the problem is with my laptop only, I just don't know how to fix it, haha. A few years of no troubles with this laptop and its FFXIV install, or at least none I could fix, and now this.

    My system specs are:

    Model: Dell Inspiron 7559
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.018363 Build 18363
Processor: Intel Core i5-6300HQ CPU @ 2.30 GHz, 2301 Mhz, 4 Core, 4 Logical Processors
    RAM: 12GB
C drive is a 250GB SSD (OS and FFXIV installed here), D drive is a 1 TB HDD
Display: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M with 1 GB memory

If anyone has any experience with this sort of error I am open to anything at this point.

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy Technical Support Forums.

Would you be able to provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
