That's why you make clear parties, and put in the description to know every phase of the fight.

Usually it still takes a few tries but you get it in the end. Or you could grab friends and FC members who have already cleared it to help you clear.

Just send a tell to the party leaders and some will let you join if you know the fight.

Welcome to PF’s, I guess. No matter how much research you do prior, how many times you play in practice runs and get first hand experience, you’ll still get dragged down by bad teammates, that’s why I stopped attempting EX trials. Happens to the best of us.

I suppose we’re lucky we even have a PF, I recently tried Destiny 2 which everyone refers to as a MMO, yet it doesn’t have a PF and so much content is lacking matchmaking, including some dailies. I can’t say much for other MMO’s or MMO like games but if I had to bet others don’t have a PF equivalent as well.

As folks have said, clear parties (Which basically means "have seen the whole fight and know what to do, just getting that clear so I can join farms") or sending a tell works. It's not as much of a catch-22 as it seems at first glance, and you'll find a lot of people are willing to give folks a chance. Just make sure to put your money where your mouth is and pull your weight and they'll be fine with it.

Eh.. "clear for one", "know every phase", etc. are usually trap parties.

Alhough you can't join "Duty Complete" parties. You can still make parties with the "Duty Complete" tag, even though you yourself haven't completed the EX trial yet. With that tag, only those who cleared already are allowed into your party to help you clear and get the bonus tomes.

Be sure to prove to your party that you know the fight well.

I'd bounce as soon as I saw a bonus in a duty complete to be honest. If someone is willing to falsely advertise their party, there is probably a reason that is not conducive towards farming.

Nowhere did I say or imply that using the "Duty Complete" tag would necessarily mean that it is a farm party. The Party Finder creator can say that it is a clear for that person, alt, or friend. It doesn't have to specify farm because it obviously isn't if that is not the intent in the first place.

If the topic creator claims to know the fight enough to clear it but needs the help from other competent team members, then using the "Duty Complete" tab is as valid as long as the player displays sufficient knowledge of the fight AND an accurate Party Finder description saying it's a "clear party" of some sort. I've done this before to get EX primal clears in the past. It wasn't the most honorable route to take, but all I needed was a chance to prove myself to my teammates that I am dependable as I claim in the Party Finder description. I swallowed my pride, did what I needed to do, got my first time EX primal clears, and everyone wins in the end.
