WHM, hands down. We're the best healers, can do ranged DD with our nukes, and best of all even with our job equipped we can still access sentinel for stuff like Ifrit, and Featherfoot for MP restoral if we're being hit. Oh, and who doesn't like a weakness free raise?

No. Being able to be on WHM is an asset. You'll rarely find a group that can't move things around and fit you in on WHM because someone else would rather be on something else.

You're good with BLM though, it's basically just as popular/desired.

WAR, is the most fun class imo and is the hands down crowd favorite for tank. WHM are needed in every party. BLM burn parties just kick all kinds of ass. The real question is why choose? You don't need to, just get them all to 50.

Bard in FFXIV is nothing like in FFXI, it can be an all-out DPS machine with a support background; quite frankly, it's my 2nd favorite job behind Warrior (and I hated bard in FFXI along with those that played XI's bard).
