Side Quests and Replaying

So I've been thinking about buying a level boost.
*gasp*
I know. bad right?

I believe I know the answer to this already, but...
I was wondering if side quests are replayable. Since the boost skips those quests. I know about New Game+.
But besides, there are some unique side quests I'd like to replay. Like the Hildibrand ones, and I don't want to create a whole new character from scratch to play a side quest. Kind of defeats a purpose.

Firstly, there are two separate skips. Level skip will put your character at Lv70 for a selected job and auto-complete its job quests, story skip will send you to the start of your selected expansion MSQ.

The story boost skips some sidequests but not all. All endgame dungeons for the expansion(s) you skip are unlocked, so the quests that would unlock them are completed, but (having used an ARR skip a while back) as far as I remember, everything else is left undone. This includes feature unlock quests and major side stories like Hildibrand and the Crystal Tower raids.

I just checked. So, $25 to replay side quests? Seems pretty lame. You're saying it might skip the Omega quests too. Not really very ideal, and not what I had in mind.
I guess I COULD watch the cutscenes in the book, but where's the fun in that?

I've also noticed not all quests are in the book. Specifically quests that don't have fully proper cutscenes. Too bad I guess.

This game will always take several hundred hours to play per character, thousands even. A simple replay button would be nice.

So you're buying the level skip primarily to replay the sidequests? You didn't say that in your first post so it wasn't clear that's the reason you're considering it.

If that's your reason for buying the boost, don't do it. They're being added to New Game Plus at some point.

Guess I didn't elaborate very well.
I've wanted to replay side missions for a while now.

Quick google search reveals posts from 5+ years ago about how much people hate side quests. Not much else.

Considering the NG+ feature. I wondered if you could replay without a full reset.

And since I was considering getting a couple boosts anyway to skip the grind (Leveling extra classes to at least 70 seems to take 30+ hours at least). I started to think about the side questing again (because they are skipped). [Irrelevant Information?]

To elaborate further, I was dissappointed I was going to miss out on some interesting side quests. Because what else is there to do in this game?

The Raid Quests were pretty interesting. I'd like to replay them, but I'll settle for the book.

You mentioned the MSQ skip. Which seems to be a viable, but expensive way to replay a side quest. MSQ skip is $25.

I'm probably the only one that wants this anyway. Waiting for NG+ seems a little too hopeful.

Back to my first post, yes I knew the answer already. A resounding no.

Perhaps I was hoping a dev might see this idea and add it to the game? Make good use of that NG+?

I'd like to point out one last thing. Not being able to play/replay seasonal quests is pretty lame. I havent gotten to see that many. Only this recent starlight one. It would be great if you could.

I understand if you wouldn't get the rewards because Square wants to sell them later, but things like the Starlight QTE minigame are pretty unique and fun to watch. Even if you wouldn't get any rewards.

I would have liked to have seen the XV event. Even if it might have just been a minor nod to the game.
