    Dark Knight Request: Syphon Strike / Souleater

    Please switch the combo bonus ability of Syphon Strike (Restores MP) with the combo ability of Souleater (Restores own HP). In content below level 26, Syphon Strike refreshes MP even though there is nothing to spend MP on below level 30 when you acquire Flood of Darkness. In addition, if you fail to complete the Dark Knight’s 1-2-3 combo you only end up refreshing MP and place additional stress on healers to heal damage that could be self managed.

    Gun Breaker has this in the form a Brutal Shell (# 2 in their 1-2-3 combo), which heals them and provides a damage nullifying barrier. Paladin and Warrior don’t have this option, but they are also the two tank jobs with pure healing abilities, so it make sense.

    Jobs being balanced with max level in mind, please no. When you will be higher level with your DRK (i see you are 55 at the moment), you will see that TBN is so important that it is better to get back some mp quickly with a 2-step combo rather than a 3 one. Especially when the HP you gain back with this combo is almost nothing, and will not save you when things go wrong.

    Considering how you have endless AOE for packs in dungeons now the only thing this affects is bosses. Try as I might I just don't see how this could be an issue. The idea of balancing around the idea that someone keeps failing to press their basic 1-2-3 combo seems a bit far-fetched.

    If this was implemented for some reason then I'd move the healing to syphon strike but keep the MP on it too. If the MP was moved to soul eater and your combo got cut off at 2 because of a phase change you'd outright lose damage from missing the MP and you'd end up with a buff almost no one cares about and a nerf that would just occasionally hit you in the face in fights where it most matters.

    Starting to feel that these are troll posts....

    Your post is filled with incorrect information and a majority of people don't care about the excess MP.

    1. WAR has storms path.
    2. At the level you've mentioned you should be aoeing down pack of mobs, matter fact at early levels tank's dungeon DPS is pretty good due to having free AOE's....
    3. Everything at those levels hit like pillows and 1 cure will net you about 30-50% of your health. It's also possible for sch's to just let their fairy heal you while you DPS, so no strain unless your healer doesn't know their buttons. Which if they don't know how to use cure, they should refer to the free training course for healer's
    4. You can't compare Paladin's Clemency to a minor heal that is attached to a weapon skill. They are 2 very different things with 2 very different functions. Basically one is to help with damage on the tank (which is up to debate if they actually matter or not) and the other is a emergency button for when the healer messes up.


    If any low level job changes were going to be made, it should be to give the physical melee jobs their AoE's sooner so that they can burn down trash faster, as their basically gimped in damage outside of boss battles until later levels when they get their aoe's. :X
