Legacy Mark not appearing on my Legacy Character

Also, check your journal and for Completed quests, check 'Other Quests' and select 'Legacy Main Scenario Quests'. If any quest titles are listed under 'Legacy Main Scenario Quests' there, then that means your character is a 1.0/Legacy character. If you do not have access to this selection (only 1.0 characters do), then I'm afraid your character was created in ARR and is not a 1.0/Legacy character.

If you're having trouble finding your 1.0 character, login on the Mogstation and check your subscription - your 1.0 character may be listed there but set as 'inactive' and thus will not show up on the character selection screen in game until it's subscription is activated.

This is not a legacy character then. If the GM is correct, that means I have another character but it is not visible or have been deleted somehow. They are quite sure it is in one of the datacenters but it is certainly not visible since I'd checked every one of them. There are no "inactive" characters visible in the mogstation though. Is there another way to find out?

Sorry, but we can say with certainty that your character wasn't created in 1.0, hence why it doesn't have the legacy mark.

Enkidoh bought up a good point about the legacy achievements and although your achievements are set to private on the Lodestone, when a character is created it is assigned a numerical "ID" and that number for new characters only ever increments.

Looking at the Lodestone, your character is ID 4854543 and if I go backwards until I find someone with public achievements (just change the URL at the top of the page) I find 4854535. That person doesn't have legacy achievements and their first achievement was completed on 24 September 2013 which was 2.0 (ARR) not 1.0. It's possible they didn't complete that first achievement on their first day (complete 10 quests), but 2.0 had been out nearly a month by this point. Of course you could go even further back to find another public person, but the lack of legacy achievements is really all the proof we need.

As others have said maybe the character in question is on another service account or maybe you did delete it and recreated it when you came back for 2.0 (you didn't sound 100% sure), but the ID number confirms it is not a 1.0 character.

I'm actually curious now as to the ID of the last 1.0 character (it'd be useful to know that for future reference!), but either way that doesn't help you sorry.

If you had a 1.0 character the first time you log into ARR it will automatically inform you that you need to transfer your 1.0 character data into the new game (and would thus allow you to edit your character's appearence etc while doing so).

To the OP, another possibility as to what has caused this is did you accidentally created a new service account when ARR started and you registered ARR's serial code to that new account instead of adding it to your 1.0 account? Specifically, when you were in the Beta test, did you combine your Beta test account to your 1.0 account? Many Beta testers who were 1.0 players were caught here and inadvertently just transfered their Beta test account into full accounts without adding the 1.0 data to it, effectively creating two seperate accounts attatched to the one player ID, and because characters are not shared between accounts, this might be what is happening here.

Unfortunately I cannot remember if you can still combine the Beta account and 1.0 account data together as the Beta test has naturally been finished since mid 2013 nor how players who were caught here resolved the issue. Either way, it's something worth investigating.

Lucky you still got to keep yours. When 2.0 came out had to delete mine 1.0 character for some reason wouldn't let me use it. Should made it where if your account was opened in 1.0 all your characters new and old gets the mark. This account have is from 1.0 collectors edition.

Yeah I was unable to recover/access my 1.0 account, I had to make a new one for 2.0 ������

Did you rly check all the datacenters? as they moved around the servers a lot in all those years. Our old account had the same problem, we didnt find our 1.0 Kitty so we made a new char and just last year or smt we found that char on some random US world when my wife wanted to make a char there...

Also, Merry Christmas or shall I say Happy Starlight to everyone! @Enkidoh, you may be right. In my Mogstation I have 2 service accounts. The one I'm on is called FFXIV 1. The other is FFXIV 2.

In the latter, there is nothing. No subscription details and no characters. But it did say that Beta Test Windows was registered to the service account. It just mysteriously not have anything in it.
