    About Glam and the Armoire:

Has any else noticed, the Armoire has not gotten a lot of love since ARR?

It's a nice place to store things you've paid real money for, but not much else.

Other then a few achievement based items almost nothing that wasn't in ARR just can't go in there.

Back in ARR though, class sets for every class, no problem. But now, anything over level 51, nope.

So, does it feel like the "cash shop box of shame" to anybody else now?

It doesn't take anything you pay money for that i know of. Its for event items, quest rewards, and achievement items. (and the old vet reward items). The reason newer job gear doesnt go in is because its from tomes, not a quest reward.

The Lv45/50 quest reward items can be bought from the calamity salvager NPC for 1000 gil apiece if you happen to lose them. So I don't know why "it's from tomes" would be a reason for the items not to go in the armoire. And in fact none of the class gear is from tomes; the i200 (HW) gear is from centurio seals, the i290 (StB) gear is from calamity salvager again, and the i430 (ShB) gear is from Grenoldt in the Tempest.

the i200 gear WAS tomes, the i290 stuff should be in armoire, but isnt, it was from a quest.

Seasonal gear and some of the crossover gear go in there. The oddest thing that goes in there is the patriot's choker, available form your GC.

Things I think should go in there: everything! When items are put in they lose everything, meaning very little data is stored. It may be as simple as a checklist, which is pretty much how collection based fashion systems work in other games.

At the the very least ALL the job sets and all the crossover gear, or have the Glamour dresser access the calamity salvager.

Odd, the only cash shop item I ever bothered with went in there just fine.

Was it an old event item?

The reason that the Armoire hasn't gotten any love is that each item added increases the size of every character's data by a very small amount and those small amounts add up into a very large amount with 18 million+ characters. Allowing for the repurchase of items through the Calamity Salvager through achievement unlocks allowed them to slow down character data growth.

Most other games do not have the shear variety of gear models that FFXIV has nor the number of new models added every major patch. Checklist based gear glamour unlocks are not really viable with FFXIV.

Still can't place all cash shop items in armoire yet. Be nice if all cash shop items could and all event and achievement items to.

I'm not so sure of that, there are even more "fashion conscious" games than FFXIV, Have you played other mmos?

A check list system is more viable than an inventory system. The shear numbers on a checklist would make little difference until you got into numbers beyond what would be reasonable. You would have to have more items than the game could have.
