Still say that SE wouldnt have done anything to Arthars if he had blurred out the name and kept things that could point out that player vague. It only became a huge issue because Arthars made such a big deal out of naming the person he was pissed at. To me, it's very clear that his intent was to cause reputation damage and make that guys life in game harder by Arthars riling up his viewership. Even if the guy was being an ass, this is clearly a situation of Arthars using his base to affect someone else in game. Only reason he didnt say anything in game is cause he knew perfectly well that doing so would get him in trouble, so he tried to be clever and do it off platform. And since hes a bigger streamer, Im not gonna give him the benefit of the doubt that "He didnt know better." I know streamers cant control the actions of their viewership, but lets not be stupid and suggest that him making such a huge point of naming and pointing out the players name that he wasnt hoping his base wouldnt respond by harassing/blackballing that player. There's a huge difference between "Mr. Biggles annoys me." and being done with it and saying "Mr. Biggles annoys me so much. This Mr Biggles. So annoying. JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW, ITS MR. BIGGLES THAT ANNOYS ME. RIGHT HERE. ON THIS SERVER. MR BIGGLES. HES ANNOYING.But dont totally go after him. But in case anyone was wondering, Again, its Mr Biggles of Sarg. That guy.*wink wink nudge nudge*"
Point is, if your actions on another platform will (within plausibility) affect another player in game, then you should be punished. And people should stop with the ridiculous "What ifs." Youre not gonna get banned for a bit of one off anger at another player in a short tweet, or venting a little bit in a vague manner. Youre gonna get slapped with a ban if you make it a point to go after another player and directly/indirectly encourage others to do the same.
