I haven't seen the clip, cuz it's probably been removed already, I don't understand why he got banned for voicing his opinion OUTSIDE the game (not in game chat judging by what GM said).

What about all these players trying to sell Ultimate and Savage Clears in PF or boosting players to top 100 in Feast they dont seem to give a fuck up about this kind of abuse.

The person he was making fun of knew plenty well they were grouped with a prominent streamer and was watching his stream when it happened.

They decided to try reporting it and the GMs opted to appease them instead of ignoring it.

I highly doubt this is the first time something like this happened, honestly. It's just the "actually acting on it" part that's rare.

If someone has social media and it is in some way showing them using mods of any kind. Parsers, call outs, glamour. It's all against the ToS. They all need to go, or you need to leave people alone.

There have been plenty of people that provided twitch evidence of people cheating and nothing was done. That is not ok if you're now suddenly going to start being heavy handed with streamers.

But it didn't happen in game, it happened outside the game, that's why I do not understand this questionable move. It feels like they directly targeted Arthars (not protecting anyone here btw) and were just looking for *an opportunity*?

First, "saying anything remotely bad" does not seem to be the case here and it probably wouldn't count as harassment. That said, if you are being harassed, you can report them rather than counter with harassment yourself.

On the side note this opens a really nasty doors for potential future abusements.
Someone could take any video you have recorded and then edit it by adding a bunch of offensive stuff pretending to be you and of your doings. People who do not see anything wrong in SE banning basing on third party evidence should rethink supporting se doing this kind of stuff.
You could take someone else video record yourself doing something crazy and vet someone banned. It is really hard to prove if such video is legit or not.

First, "saying anything remotely bad" does not seem to be the case here and it probably wouldn't count as harassment. That said, if you are being harassed, you can report them rather than counter with harassment yourself.

Yeah, but has someone ever been banned for saying something on twitch regarding FFXIV community?
We live at times where anyone can get offended by anything. Even if you sit in the corner of your room, there will be someone who will be offended by that x) Thus people can find twitch stuff offensive even if it wasn't offensive in the first place.
As I said, I did not see the clip and I can't tell what was there, my point is that a player got banned by saying something outside the game and this is bringing the question if next time you will get banned by saying something about another person in a public discord.
