Its nice. There are a lot of people who speak english. granted there are many french and germans there. It seems very active and buzzing with people, that might be because its the first day but we will see.

Some activity yes, a lot of the activity is just LS recruitment shouts, but there is some content shouting goin down

used the search function to get some numbers today, at 8pm gmt population was ~600 (~250EN ~240FR 60DE 50JP), when I checked 2 hours after the start of the server (around 5pm gmt), more than 200JP were connected.

think we can conclude we'll be around 1000 players here.

SO Far so good, I can understand the people i have met. They also seem helpful enough. I was able to finish my PLD 35 quest!!!... I was worried when it was the only server left to chose from not even 12 hours in to opening the server choice. I wounder if that means that SE won't be adding some more servers in the near future.

Very quiet, another maint right when I have time to play, 3rd day in a row. Maybe I should get another job lol.

The server seemed quite action packed yesterday. There was a lot of LS recruitment spam, and much of it in non-English languages, in the Ul'dah shout channel, but there were also quite a few groups forming and I managed to get a Cutter's Cry AF run in before logging out for the night. So far I'm quite happy with how active the server is during EU hours.
