    Ballad/Music Issue

    ISP: My University. I'm not giving this away in a forum post.
    They do not perform throttling or traffic shaping currently.
    Type of Internet Connection: Ethernet -- directly to Uni's Network

    To a server in Tokyo: 3Mbps Down 10Mbps Up

    Race: Keeper of The Moon Miqote
    World: Hyperion
    Class/Level: BRD [50]
    Area and Coordinates: Cutter's Cry -- Chimera
    Party or Solo: Party
    NPC Name: n/a
    Monster Name: Chimera
    In-Game Time: unknown
    Steps:
    1. Play as Bard in Cutter's Cry -- enter battle
    2. Try to cast MP Ballad
    3. Observe

    Specifically, this issue occurred during Chimera fight in Cutter's Cry. At one point, the music for the game stopped playing, but I was still able to play. The music stopped again during Chimera fight, too. This time, however, I attempted to cast Ballad of Magi and though the casting bar was full, it would not follow through with the action. This time when the music stopped, my UI froze. I was not getting feedback from the UI that I was selecting actions, as if I was having latency issues. However, Everyone else was still moving normally, unlike when I have R0'd previously.

    After the UI issues, I was unable to move -- I also was not able to take out/sheath my weapon, or cast other abilities. System Message: "You cannot perform this action".

    I died since I couldn't move, I revived and attempted to cast Ballad again. Again, I was stuck in the casting animation when the bar filled and unable to perform actions, though I was able to move my character.

    I reset the client, and the issue went away, though the game music was still stopping in the middle of battle in Cutter's cry.

    Thank you for posting your concerns about having issues with your music before being unable to move. I have made sure to submit all of your information to the development team, and they will thoroughly investigate this matter, based on your report. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that a direct response will be posted on your thread, but I do recommend checking here or here for any details regarding the development team's investigation. I also suggest contacting the SQUARE ENIX Support Center, just in case they may be able to help you resolve this matter. Thanks again for your report!
