Anyone else with 1.0 launcher icon?

Apologies if a thread has been made about this before. I couldn't find any discussion on it. I didn't want to flag it as a bug because i enjoy having this icon, nor do i believe it really is one, so-
Does anyone else have the 1.0 launcher icon? For whatever reason, when i downloaded the client on my new laptop about half a year ago, i got the 1.0 icon instead of the regular meteor. (I'm not a legacy player, btw.)
I think it's pretty neat, but i haven't managed to find anyone else with it. It shows up like this when i type it in my search bar as well, though it reverts to the meteor when on my taskbar while the game is running, sadly.

I don't have that, but I don't have the meteor one either, it's the whole friggin FFXIV current logo with all the races(will not all obviously) in the back. The words across it read "A Realm Reborn" rather than "Final Fantasy XIV".

I guess people got different ones..?

i have this on my main pc under the start bar but not as the shortcut icon for whatever reason. I think it says a realm reborn but my eyesight is bad so i may be mistaken

Yes that's the one.

Mine does not say "ONLINE" in the title, but .exe files (or other filetypes like DLLs) can contain different icons in itself, and those icons again can vary with size (e.g. just a small yellow folder when in "Small" details, but a 256px manilla folder icon when you scale it up via CTRL+Mousewheel)

So when I drag the Meteor to the Desktop, it turns into the black logo. When I go into the smallest icon view, it's the black and white logo, then it turns into the meteor etc.

Maybe when you Download the launcher, it is maybe the first (1.0) version that gradually updates itself, and your's got stuck with the oldest icon?

I have the 1.0 launcher icon on my laptop and the red meteor icon on my desktop PC. I first started with the free trial version on my laptop but had subscribed by the time I got around to installing the game on my desktop, and I always assumed the difference was due to that.

That is not the 1.x version icon. That icon looked like FFXI's but was orange instead of blue.

Right, this is 1.0's original logo. ARR's logo has the same Yoshitaka Amano artwork but in blue and white with 'A Realm Reborn' over it (and FFXIV below in smaller font). The 'current' logo is just the same but with the ARR title dropped and the FFXIV title in larger font.

As for what logo the game has on my desktop, it's the 'Meteor' logo used often as a shorthand identifier for the game's title (such as the basis for the main scenario quest icon in game). I wonder if those with different logos have newer versions of the installer (such as the 'Complete Collection' or the latest Mac editions) - my copy is the ARR Collector's Edition (to be really fair, originally it was simply an update of the Beta Phase 4 client that I was already using as a Beta tester, which the launcher updated accordingly, but I've since had to reinstall the game which I just used my ARR CE installation disc, but which had the same desktop icon).

I think it depends on the size of the icon. I have the meteor one, but if I change the icon size to a bigger one I get the full blue logo.
