Please let us apply glamour plates outside cities

I have made some glamour plates for heat, snow, rain etc. for a little more fun and immersive gaming experience when I'm out in the world. Problem is I'm not allowed to apply them when I need them, without first going into a city and then travel back to wherever I was. Which is quite bothersome.

Can't we be allowed to apply glamour plates outside the cities as well?

Unfortunately this is probably not going to happen for some time due to server limitations. They want to but they have to get around some large internal issues to make it work.

Seems dumb you can't because you can glamour any items as long as your not in combat using glamour prism's so what's the difference ?. I don't see what's keeping them from doing it.

This pretty much, the game is still using code from 1.0 and is overall holding the game back.

This is why I always keep 999 glamour prism's on my character. So can apply glamour's anytime I want and not need to be in city to apply them.

Whatever's going on with the system, it's not just that we can't *apply* plates - we can't view them either.

I would guess that they don't actually carry that data with you in field zones.

My workaround has been to carry those "situational" outfits as real gear rather than applying plates at the time. You can apply the glamour to other gear before you leave town, or just carry the glamour items directly.

S-E has already said more than once they applying glamour plates outside of cities would cause database and server problems. So, wanting a smoother experience for everyone else is "dumb"?
