    With Allied Seals made more relevant, I really feel like ARR hunts need changes.

    Thanks to the new BLU vendor, there's now more relevant things to spend allied seals on outside of aetheryte tickets and ventures. Said seals are actually more valuable then their "greater" equivalent of Centurio Seals now due to being able to buy grade VII/VIII materia with them.

    However, while the BLU content gives a decent amount of allied seals, there's still way more to be obtained weekly from ARR hunts, even if you stay strictly on your own server.

    Problem is said hunts are so weak now that even the S ranks can be killed in the matter of a few minutes by a single player. It's not so problematic for the A ranks that respawn every few hours, but when it comes to S ranks it can be an extremely stressful ordeal when someone who spawns them has no guarantees they'll even be able to reach them before they're killed.

    This has been made worse by the increased prevalence of third party apps that can detect and immediately/automatically relay the location of a S rank both to the user and associated Discord servers.

    The main thing I'd want is for the ARR S ranks to have some kind of dynamic scaling that prevents them being killed quickly in the presence of players who severely outlevel them while allowing level 50s to face them as originally intended. It could be through a buff that only triggers if a player of an excessive level is within range of them, making them into special FATEs that force level 50 sync, etc.

    I'd also like for hunt scholars to specifically mention whether a given S rank is still on respawn or has an open spawn window for the sake of preventing ill-meaning and/or greedy players from monopolizing them by being the only ones to know the exact time of death and by extension when they'll be off respawn.

    I know a lot of people are fine with them as is, but as someone who spends a significant amount of time actually spawning/locating/relaying my server's S ranks, it's gotten progressively more stressful as time has gone on due to having less and less time to actually find a spawned hunt before it gets picked off by some random players (Which has gotten still worse due to cross-world travel letting in trolls who thrive off of doing this simply to upset people).

    I honestly feel like hunts in general could be expanded into a much more fulfilling and entertaining group activity, but for now, some measures to help ensure they at least stay a group activity to some degree would be nice, especially if they're going to remain as lucrative as they are.

    Honestly I feel that some sort of hunt scaling should have just been a thing forever, at least for A and S rank.

    I tend to not even bother with ARR S ranks because by the time I load in there's a 75% chance it's likely going to be dead anyway because you just need 1 person to decide "leggo" and it's dead in a couple of hits.

    Like ideally, I think the hunts should scale by most recent expansion, so ARR A-S ranks show up at lvl 80 and so on. But if not that, then at least 1 expansion behind so they don't die to a sneeze.

    Who spawns the S probably are the ones that can kill it without you noticing it have even been spawned.

    I spawn stuff regularly, but there's an ever-growing crowd of trolls who've been going around Aether DC and trying to pick off as many S ranks as possible without them getting a chance to circulate strictly for the purpose of depriving others (Most of them are level-skipped alt accounts). They generally ignore anything above ARR S ranks because they know they won't be able to kill them fast enough to prevent relays from circulating.

    It's kind of sad that some people actually find this amusing enough to waste several hours on it every week and even money on alt accounts.

    Hunts were fine the way they were before crossworld because S rank spawners usually got to set to set pull time, and groups waited for most people to get there.
    Crossworld honestly ruined it. What was once a fun in-game relay now forces you to use a discord otherwise you'll miss out. I had an experience Monday night before matience an S rank spawned while I was in the area. Immediately another group (who was not the spawner and from Shout chat were Wanderers) swooped in and killed it. Spawner got no credit. Trolls will also sabotage the SS spawns. Some S ranks disappear from tracking for ages.

    At this point I'm in a Hunt LS but by the time they call an S it's dead, or if you help spawn what happened above happens. I just do Daily Hunts now, my love for this content has faded. I'm not sure what they can do to fix it, but it needs fixed.

    They discussed the issue with making them into FATEs in an interview one time - apparently the FATE system wouldn't allow for the special trigger conditions that many S-ranks have.

    I'm not sure if they'd be able to do a debuff within range of the monster. Maybe the entire zone, or a permanent level sync or something...

    I wonder if they could make it work like Eureka's Notorious Monsters, since they're basically reskinned FATEs anyway.

    I mean, there's an easy solution to this: go find/track down the hunt yourself. You can't get mad when you're essentially (for lack of a better word) mooching off of somebody else's discovery, and think they're obligated to wait for you, a complete stranger, who, evident from your post, probably wouldn't be appreciative to them for waiting anyway. I mean, you gotta look at the whole picture here OP.

    Not even trying to be mean to you homie, just keeping it real.

    There was a post someone made here a while back that I really liked, it went something like:
    "If the hunt was downed before you arrived, then there were enough people gathered."
