Dear SE, please open mateus so my friend and I can be reunited

I play on Mateus, and i bought the game for my friend as a present a couple of months ago, she had wanted to play for ages and she was going to join my FC. Little did i know that literally the day before i gave her the game, Mateus had closed due to congestion.

Since then i have been watching the server status like a hawk, checking it multiple times a day and after every patch, hoping there will be an opening, even for just a few minutes.
I even deleted all of my characters save for my main, in hope that it would decongest things and my friend could join me. My friend doesn't want to play the game unless we are together, and it just won't be the same if she's stuck on a different server and unable to be in my FC. She won't get the FC actions or bonuses that come with being in a group of friends. It's been months, are we going to have to wait until next year to play?

Like i said, i deleted my entire roster of alts except for my main character, so the room on the server is definitely there.

Thank you for making an amazing game, please consider opening the server for a day or so.

No need to check every day.
The Congested/Standard/Preferred/New status of servers only get changed in conjunction with server maintenance, and there is always a notice "Regarding Changes in Congested/Preferred Worlds" on the launcher and on Lodestone when there has been any changes in that server status.

The Congested status will drop when the overall population has dropped enough. Exactly how much it would need to drop is something only SE knows.
It might be just a few more weeks, or it might be a whole year until the server opens again - it all depends on how quickly people leave the server.

Another option is your friends can all transfer to a "Preferred" world, and get rewards for doing so.


But yes, the status changes with the maintenance cycle, so you only need to check the status that often. I just left Mateus for Goblin to reunite my characters, so maybe that'll help? Maybe? Possibly?

I really don't wanna do that, all my friends save for her are here, and if i leave thatd dissolve my FC and I'd lose my house!

Why not create a new character on a preferred server to play with her until Mateus is no longer congested?
