Nerf the newer raids so they're even faster than crystal tower.

Hasn't been long since I farmed the tank set dropped in Dun Scaith. Let me tell you, waiting 180+ minutes every single time even though I coerced a couple friends of mine into qing with me (1 tank, 1 healer, 3 DPS total) is totally bananas. And it took me almost 30 runs (27 to be precise) for the chestpiece to drop. Imagine the amount of time I wasted because people keep iLvl cheesing the roulette.
Oh and not to mention the usual "OH NO ITS DUN SCAITH HOW ARE WE GONNA DO THIS I NEVER LEARNT HOW TO READ A TOOLTIP OR DODGE (great community btw)" messages in chat right before half the alliance instantly dropped out when they saw it was Dun scaith and not their usual Circus Tower run. Absolutely frustrating.
I love Dun Scaith my fav raid.. but as long as something is exploitable it will be...Hasn't been long since I farmed the tank set dropped in Dun Scaith. another unpopular solution that heard from some FC mates is don't unlock roulette until you have all raids unlocked and then putting a max ilevel and then triple rewards..
you would most likely see a mass drop off in ques though for people still unlocking stuff but it would make roulette actually roulette.
Honestly I had no clue the situation was that bad nowadays.
Queuing for the single raids is what i meant to do myself, after refreshing my memory with guides, to relearn better (since I forgot most of the fights and no, not all of them are intuitive). And that's why i suggested doing that.
But yeah, based on the waiting times said it's impossible for anyone.
I mean, seeing how much people die and wipe on stupid stuff even in LotA, they never learned that either anyway, so what does it change?Oh and not to mention the usual "OH NO ITS DUN SCAITH HOW ARE WE GONNA DO THIS I NEVER LEARNT HOW TO READ A TOOLTIP OR DODGE (great community btw)" messages in chat right before half the alliance instantly dropped out when they saw it was Dun scaith and not their usual Circus Tower run. I used to like LotA, but after getting it so often it's becoming a bit of a drag. I'd take spamming it than a Dun Scaith run any day, though.
I do get variation, just for the record. But it's usually LotA.
I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.
This is not unlike a thread a while back where people were complaining about how a premade party in leveling roulette would often get sastasha, even though the entire party would be 60-70 plus. The only fix to your gripe (and I share it) would be to tier the raid roulettes. I would actually go so far as to pull the CT raids and put them under MSQ Alliance Raids, since that is basically what they are now. The other raids are sidestory content that may or may not be directly tied to the story. With this expansion, the CT raids are basically MSQ. So lets treat them as such and give us the other raids in a separate roulette. Problem solved.
Actually I'll raise that suggestion to making it mandatory for all content in that roulette be unlocked, just like for Expert. Wanna do Alliance? You have to have all raid tiers unlocked. That should help a bit. This is not unlike a thread a while back where people were complaining about how a premade party in leveling roulette would often get sastasha, even though the entire party would be 60-70 plus. Edit: Relative to your level of course. So if you're lvl 70 you have to have all the lvl 60 AND 70 raids unlocked (along with the lvl 50 ones if they dont make a separate MSQ raid, but they really should at this point).

Agreed, i personally think wipes are a fun learning experience, and love to drink salty gamer tears any chance i can get.
Yeah seriously,Dear Devs,
Please. Fix. Alliance. Roulette.
I use to enjoy queuing into alliance roulette to help level my DPS jobs, as well as get clusters. Now a days I avoid it all together. The reason for this is because I am sick and tired of getting Labyrinth of the Ancients every single day. Seven days a week.
And yes, I realize that there are so many people cheesing their gear so that they only get Labyrinth, which forces so many other people to get Labyrinth, which is really unfair. I understand that with SHB, there has been an influx of new players playing old content, so when I see that the duty has bonus, I am a bit more understanding. But when you get LOTA for seven days straight with no bonus, it gets tiring extremely fast..
I used to be ok with Crystal Tower... now I can't even stand the place anymore. Kinda like the way it goes with Alexander now too.
I agree with the sentiment of increasing rewards for the higher raids that are done.
I don't believe it would absolutely fix the issue, but I would assume you would start to see more people willing to stay higher geared, or we'll start at least seeing Void Ark a little more, and I'd honestly be happy to start getting bored with something other than LotA.
