    I actually don't do alliance roulette, or most other roulettes, as often as I'd like anymore. Sucks since I enjoy the bulk of the content in alliance, trials, and normal raid roulettes and would love to contribute to the solution in alliance rather than the problem, but it's just so easy to get my weekly tomes elsewhere while doing things I wanna do for other reasons, and I sadly have no other incentive to run those roulettes (other than just for fun, which takes a backseat to fun plus rewards). Elite hunt marks here and there for the tricerotops mount, frontline for the mining mech mount (which, admittedly, is more "rewards" than "fun" for me, as I've never enjoyed or been good at pvp in any game I've played), Kinko's for my weekly coin...I'll do at least one EX queue for the guaranteed WT sticker, but anything beyond that isn't guaranteed to be part of my weekly plan anymore if I get enough tomes elsewhere.

    And yeah, I'd say 90% or more of the times when I still did alliance were something in CT, usually Lab or Syrcus. SOMETIMES I'd get a Mhach raid, usually Ark or Weeping City. I barely ever see an Ivalice raid unless I manually queue for it (which, as stated before, takes forever), and I've NEVER seen Kinko's in roulette (not sure it's actually in alliance roulette, but it'd surprise me if it wasn't).

    Weird. I swear I got Ivalice in alliance roulette when they were current. Meh.

    I'm pretty sure the recent raid is in the Roulette, unless they changed it. I remember getting the last Ivalice raid one before ShB hit a few times (and people leaving....).

    Onto the topic, yeah, something needs done. My bf is enjoying the game and is catching up on content with me, and wanted to get HW raids out of the way. We sat in queue for almost an hour for all of them, one the queue popped and we spent almost 5 mins failing the ready check.

    The only option I can see that would fix this is how they worked on PvP in the past. Have all the abilities unlocked for the raids, it's not really important and can be frustrating at times to be missing half of the toolkit, and make them all a singular level. Stats are really not important unless your at endgame or doing minimum ilvl. That would remove the cheesing drastically. Making the only bar to entry being unlocking the quest.

    Possible (mutually exclusive) solutions:

    - Increase the item level requirement when you reach level 60, 70, or 80, so when you reach those levels you will be required to have your high level gear equipped to join the queue. For example, when you reach level 70, you will have to be a high enough item level for Orbonne Monastery to use the Alliance Raid roulette.
    - Split the Crystal Tower raids into a separate roulette with lesser rewards.
    - Replace the Alliance Raid roulette with a daily challenge that changes each day, cycling through all the alliance raids in the order in which they were released. For example it would start with Labyrinth of the Ancients, the next day would be Syrcus Tower, and so on until reaching Orbonne Monastery, after which it would loop back to Labyrinth of the Ancients, and the cycle would continue.

    IMO best fix would be to tighten iLVL sync for lower level Alliance raids (50 and 60 in particular).

    The reason peope see Labyrint, Syrcus or Void Ark as boring and/or timesaving, is that they seemingly offer no challenging mechanics.
    But the reason they SEEMINGLY offer no challenging mechanics, is because those mechanic are SKIPPED/IGNORED because people have so high iLVL, they roll over them.

    As example: I belive that people are synced to iLVL 130(?) for 50 lvl raids, where 130 was maximum attainable gear in vanila (maybe bar some late Bahamut rewards).

    Imagine, that your whole raid of 24-people would enter Labyrinth of The Ancients synced to iLVL 80 (LoTA drops 80) and without ECHO - not so much cheese instance now, is it?
    You would suddenly (re)discover, that LoTA bosses actually DO have mechanics, and that you can wipe on them pretty easy.

    Moreover, I belive that SE is actually shooting themselves in the leg, by cheapening well-developed content, that nowadays nobody can actually enjoy as it was made to be.
    Instead it was turned into: "give us 15 minutes of your time and we will give you $$ amount of XP in return"
    That, is no longer *content*.

    I love Dun Scaith my fav raid.. but as long as something is exploitable it will be...

    another unpopular solution that heard from some FC mates is don't unlock roulette until you have all raids unlocked and then putting a max ilevel and then triple rewards..
    you would most likely see a mass drop off in ques though for people still unlocking stuff but it would make roulette actually roulette.

    I used to do LotA when it first came out and it was endgame and we had to do all mechanics. It still wasn't that bad. People seem to possibly die more to it now because of ignoring/not knowing mechanics.
    So, even with your solution, I don't think much would change.
    Also, even if people weren't to cheese removing gear, there's still the problem of the huge nmber of people who only ever unlocked the CT series as alliance raids at all.
