It doesn't, seems completely pointless. The only thing that needed a fix was the skin tone thing on the 2b outfit. There are way bigger clipping issues, even outfits you have to buy on the mogstation. Than potential butt clipping - that you have control over, or the player should have the choice.

2019 and moving onto 2020, still can't wear 99% of collared tops because of the hair I chose. Which is the Samsonian locks.

It clips through everything and I mean everything with something on the neck.

The difference is small, but it appears to be there. Yeah, not really sure why they felt this was necessary when there are bigger fish to fry. Then again they changed GNB sounds for no reason, so...

I noticed it right on the character select screen. I then switched to a glam that showed clipping when seated, and it didn't show clipping any more. I would like it reverted, but since they took the time to "fix" it in the first place, I don't expect them to. :/

EDIT: Wow, I just noticed it reverts to the original non-flattened form when not actually wearing a top, at least for the tops I'm using now...

A lot of people knew about the clipping issue but didn't care or worked around
it from what I've saw. Haven't really seen any complaints about it tbh.
But of course, SE needs to turbo analyses and change things
no one asked for and people had hope for future butts.

Which is fine for robes and things that completely covered the butt anyway. And as such it still works fine for things that work with the ruffle skirt like the anemos jacket and the spenders top.

Problem is that ... the ruffle skirt is hella limited with only a hand full of non-swimsuit like tops turning it off (like the anemos jacket and the spenders top).

So Bone wicca striking top that legit has the ass area fully uncovered? Flat now cause it drapes in the front.
New tank top glam you get from the restoration turn ins? Flat now even though it wouldn't clip and had the ass out from the side.
Scorpion Harness? FLAT NOW because it has ... the plated hip/leg guards on the side ...

This has hit my current glams HARD.

Yeah an "easy fix" as usual. As if they actually care about clipping.
