I'm laughing my ass off that SE didn't even bother to add a "Blue Mage" category to the Fellowship system. It honestly seems like the perfect piece of content to justify a Fellowship, whether that just be grouping up to learn spells, or going on to tackle the hardcore achievements for the mount...

There's nothing stopping people from making a Blue Mage Fellowship, of course. It's just a matter of how one goes about finding it with no identifying tags or a proper search function.

Honestly, same. I'm only even in one and that's a private "test" Fellowship to just get some (disappointing) experience with it. Found no reason to join any, and so far the two I could envision making/joining have apparently not been considered by SE; a Free Company tag for FC Recruitment, and a Blue Mage tag for Blue Magery. Both are just as solid a tag as Treasure Hunt, and damn well more important than Performance or Glamour tags...

I can't remember if that live letter was in English or only Japanese. Fact is that this is the official information players got about the foundation about blu. So if you see this official slide about the blu concept, that is what you would go with. And if the devs don't clear up the mistake on the slide it's a problem.

Even if there was some kind of misunderstanding or bad translation, the fact is BLU has existed as a live job now for nearly a year. So even if there was potential to misunderstand their intentions with BLU back then, you definitely know what it is NOW. There should be no more confusion, feigned or otherwise, at this point.

I think most people can see what they intend to do with it, especially now. I just think that they are handling the job poorly. Some enjoy it though and that's fine.

I have absolutely no idea what they intend to do with it at all, cause nothing about limited jobs makes sense. Who is this content for? Yeah, so it's no longer the solo job they announced it as, meaning people who did like it for its, uh....minimal...solo capabilities prior are now shafted by this harder swerve to party content, but people who would want it to be a real, proper, party job would still hate it because it's still not that either. Speaking as someone who would have been content with either (though limited jobs would still be a garbage idea to me no matter how well the solo bit would have been pulled off), as I've both wished for more interesting solo content since ARR came out, but was and am still pissed they basically killed Blue Mage before it was ever born, it's even worse now because it's neither! It fails to be solo content, but it fails to be party content, so who is this for, and what is the point of it? To exist, like Diadem did until recently? Cause it barely even manages that. This is the problem with trying to make a job into content.

1000000% agree I'm quite fine with a job having solo content made for it but no job should be STRICTLY side content unless it's onion knight/freelancer.
