A further thought on the stockings: previously-existing gear (such as the bunny tights and the previous iteration of this gear) suggests they can't do "skin colour under transparent fabric" and just apply a fixed colour.

If it's now correctly reflecting skin colour then perhaps they're doing it like 'real' stockings with a very thin transparent layer sitting just over the leg model - and if it gets switched out for a long boot model, and the other model is even a tiny bit bigger, it clips through the stockings and they end up inside rather than outside the leg.


Edit: looking at the images from this bug report, it does look like there's a separate tube of transparent 'fabric' around the leg, but something has gone wrong and part of the leg itself is vanishing. I've previously noticed that character body pieces seem designed to go invisible when viewed from the inside out (ie. if the camera ends up inside a body), so you're not left staring at the inside of their head or whatever. I wonder if the leg model has been put 'wrong side out', if that's possible.

Edit edit: could be something to do with the bit that clipped through the stockings becoming invisible when viewed though the back of the stockings.
