How would you describe your server?

- What server (and data center) do you mostly play on?
Diabolos/Crystal

- Would you say your server has more of a hardcore, casual, or RP emphasis? Or a combination of both? Or something else? Or is that not possible to tell?
I'm not really sure, honestly. I'm still pretty new to the server and have only played on it actively for about a month now (but in total, i moved over during free transfer). I've only seen a small handful of people RP, but there is an acting troupe that I got to see perform (and that was amazing). Can't comment on whether it's hardcore or casual. Thus far, I've found the players here to be very pleasant and welcoming. I've seen people joke around and have fun. There have been some dancing lines in town. During one of my quests when SHB first came out, someone actually invited me to party to give me a lift to the next quest (we were on the same quest), which never happened to me on any other server. In general, people will help each other out with mobs and such.

- Do some servers (or data centers) have a reputation for leaning toward one of those 3 categories?
Some in Crystal definitely lean towards RP/casual, I think. One of my friends in Aether considers Crystal to be the "artsy" server while Aether is the raiding server. I went over to Crystal for the gil SE was promising if we transfered & because I was unhappy with my at-the-time server. People there seemed to stir up drama for the sake of having drama and I went through FCs faster than I ever had before I moved to that particular server because drama typically killed them... So, the unhappiness + gil + free were the main motivators.

- Did you join a server because you thought it leaned toward one of those 3? If yes, was it what you expected?
Newp, I knew nothing about Diabolos. I picked Diabolos simply because FF8 Diabolos reminds me of one of my RP characters. However, I'm very glad I chose this server. I really like it and the people in it thus far.

On a side note: the wanderers who happen into Diabolos have been very friendly, too.
