I hope we see further nerfs moving forward. I want to be able to solo everything - and farm things like the shiver emote solo style.

I remember when I first did it, that once you reach level 20 by slaying NMs, you'd have enough crystals to get the weapon and all pieces of Anemos gear.
The next zone will be a bit different, since you'll have to farm light also. But with the nerfs it's a lot easier if you were to spawn high level NMs, since the mobs needed to spawn them can give good light. The less you have in your party, the more light you can get though. My signature shows how much light was I getting in a very short time with a party of 3 lol.
I recently made tons of gil farming that emote LOL. When the weather is thunder, get a full party and kill Greater Amphiphtre near Cassie's spawn area. And enjoy the cold boxes. Had over 30 boxes which gave me 3 of the emote.

I think they nerfed the Shiver emote drop rate. My friend did some box farming and got it day 1 and she wasn't in zone that long. I've been thinking about spending some time with another friend farming it. I can't say for sure but I have a feeling there were a lot of nerfs and they didn't really say too much about ti.
Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a try tonight. I don't really have anything I need to buy right now but I'd like to stockpile gil for the future since Ishgard reconstruction will probably be a major gil sink moving forward.

I have some unopened boxes and I wonder if the nerf applies to just the new ones. I'll have to open them later. Been holding them really to wait to hear about nerfs for that emote.

So the shiver emote got nerfed again? GDI, I bought mine right before the first nerf for 40mil T^T

I would say the drop rate is like 10% based on how many boxes I've opened. But that's from Pagos cold boxes, which you can only obtain from mobs of equal or higher level than you when they mutate. The ones you have now from Anemos can drop the T rex mount, red mage barding and furniture items. So the nerf they did back in SB for them still applies to them.
I sold one today for 4.5M >.>

No i have Pagos boxes. I've been an Eureka fan for some time and have multiple characters with BA clears on Aether and one on Crystal. I'd been popping in and out of zone from time to time just to see how many people were there. This morning I actually decided to enter with a Eureka level 1 character (Alys who is actually my character for this post) and wanted to simply run around and open the map when i discovered I could ride a mount and solo mobs easily.I would say the drop rate is like 10% based on how many boxes I've opened. I have no idea what's been done to the other zones but I do recall one NM in Hydatos dying awfully fast when i was unable to get a group. I thought to myself wow that died pretty quick so perhaps the echo has been applied in all zones.

This. I'd love to be able to solo through the content for the story at least.
I really don't know why they don't make things more solo-friendly in general. There is plenty enough group content at the core of the game (raids, dungeons, trials), and always a good incentive to do other things in a group (speed & efficiency), that I don't think it would hurt the game's social aspects if they were to open up other content for solo play.
To be honest, forcing me into group content doesn't really promote my participation in the social aspects of the game anyway. I always end up leaving Free Companies because I get sick of the inane/obscene chatter filling up my chat window along with invitations to join Discord, and the other players I join up with through DF mean less to me than the NPCs in my squadron and trusts. I know "this is an MMO," but socialising ain't necessarily the appeal it holds for all of us, and giving us worthwhile content to solo—even if it's old content—is going to aid our investment, not harm it.
