Arbor Call/Lay of the Land needs love

These two skills are so annoying.

With the new Skybuilder's recipes, and how we always auto-detect Unspoiled Nodes, I'm finding gathering quite annoying when I'm trying to find a resource and these two skills keep pointing out stuff I don't care about (Skybuilder's or Unspoiled Nodes).

I notice that with Fishing, we have a map that colors areas where nodes may be found once they are discovered.

Maybe we could get the same thing for DoH/DoL? I can't remember the dozens upon dozens of nodes and where they all are, and I hate spending 5+ minutes trying to find where (insert material here is).

So could we either revamp how Arbor Call/Lay of the Land works, or add shaded areas to the map, or both?

Possible Arbor Call/Lay of the Land changes:

1). If you disable Truth of the Mountains/Truth of the Forests, Lay of the Land/Arbor Call should NOT detect Unspoiled Nodes.
2). Give us Arbor Call/Lay of the Land III that detects special nodes (Skybuilder's, Quest Nodes, Levequest Nodes, etc) and make it so the I and II versions do not.

I think many of us use them until we get node locations memorized, or to remind of where to find node rarely visited. Even with the gathering log improvements showing the subzone name for node locations, there can be a large area to search.

Considering the multiple nodes in every zone, changing or adding more Lay of the Land options would just add to button bloat.

Adding coordinates next to the subzone name in the gathering log would probably be the best way to go. Look at Dragon Obsidian and Skybuilder Mythrite Sand, both found in Riversmeet. One is found around 28, 28 but the other is at 26, 9 - all the way across the zone.

Once the player reaches the coordinates, Lay of the Land becomes useful in finding the scattered nodes.

I'm all for an improvement of this, be it coordinates or whatever.
I'd also like to be able to select which type of node I want, even just between the blue ones and the yellow ones.

Pretty sure the skills don't ever detect Unspoiled nodes in the first place, right?

Otherwise, yeah, what I was coming around to say after getting into the Restoration. With the way zones started getting bigger and bigger, the log saying a general location isn't incredible helpful (see Riversmeet example). There's too much getting added to old zones, the skills don't do enough to distinguish or differentiate between what you're hunting. We definitely need something like the fishing log, or at least more precise coordinates in the logs we do have.

Once we've found the nodes and filled the entry in the log, there's really no reason not to have written down where to find it again. It's one thing if they want to keep it sorta secret/hidden to make you hunt for it the first time. After that, update the log so we don't have to go hunting for it every time.
