Support request for Poetics cap raised to 10k

10k is pretty high but if we start there maybe we can haggle to 4k.

It's an obsolete catch-up currency, so I don't see the harm in letting it be higher considering how fast it accumulates. What's someone gonna do, save up to buy all their 60 and 70 leveling gear in one go? Get enough soil to plant crops at their FC house? Use Haurchefant's face to wallpaper their entire apartment? I really don't see the harm, it's just QoL.

Well, from what I understand the harm would be that it's even more character data the game needs to constantly monitor, that's the usual excuse we're given regarding currencies and such things. "The servers can't handle it" or some such... Whether that's true or just SEs tried and tested excuse for anything, is another question.

To be perfectly honest with you, I kind of wish they'd just merge all the worthless currencies into one... Delete Poetics and Allied Seals completely (first two that spring to my mind, at least) and just work them into Grand Company Seals instead. That's already got a hefty cap, and yeah... I really don't see why not... Why have three fairly worthless currencies when we can just have one instead? Values would need to be worked out, how many Seals it takes to buy old Poetics gear, how much a 100 Poetics Roulette gives in Seals, etc., but I think it would be the most solid solution... Perhaps I'm a bit bias though, since I want Grand Company Seals to have a more solid presence in the game, along with Grand Companies themselves... That's optimistic though, given all we've got in the past six years is... Squadrons... Ugh...

I'd agree to that request. I'm leveling everything up and now that I'm nearing 60 I don't have the inventory space to constantly buy lvl 60 gear with my poetics so I can keep earning them.

10 would allow me to horde a good bit while leveling to 60 so o can just buy my gear and move on instead of having to stop and grind just to gear things when they get to the level.

Right now I was just going to craft all my gear since it's much faster in the long run. No dng RNG. No poetic cap to manage. Just grab mats and make it.

New crafting exp has my crafters and gathers leveling stupidly just making the things I need.

You can buy crafting mats and stuff with your poetics and sell it on the MB too.

To OP - yes I support this! Poetics get dumped so fast on us, please raise the cap!

I would love to have a higher cap for poetics. Recently I've been leveling all of my classes because I want the Amaro, but you can't even get a full set of augmented tome gear for 50/60/70. Not to mention the times I'm not leveling is when I'm farming poetics... but then I go right back to the cap and my choices are fill my inventory with armor sets I don't just need yet, or end up with an incomplete set when I do go to level the next class.

You can easily amass near 2k poetics everyday just from running roulettes, the 2k cap is a relic of a bygone era that desperately needs to be updated and while your at it Square can you just put ALL currencies in our "currency" tab....which includes raid tokens. That is why the currency tab exists, much appreciated.

I'd rather there just be a prompt letting me know that I cannot receive the total amount of poes the duty gives, and ask if I would like to proceed anyway.

I'm fine with the 2k cap. Even on a day full of duties, I only need to visit Idyllshire or the Reach once per day to make an exchange.

Doesn't this come up again and again and get ignored? Or have they given an answer I have missed. Not that the answer would be very good probably. Option one it is too hard for the servers to handle. Option two it would unbalance the game blah blah blah.

I use my poetics to get grade 3 soil for gardening now that I have every piece of gear I care about bought and upgraded (including the only hw relic I really care about)

For me at least it's not about immediate need... it's about the convenience of not needing to run to Idyllshire every five minutes because I'm getting poetics faster than I can spend them :P

I just... don't really understand this being the majority argument. I mean, I get it, convenience and all. But, the arguments still boil down to "this is all junk that I'm spending just to sell off again." Why not... just save yourself the time and trouble and just let Poetics stay capped? If you're not really doing anything with them, you're just wasting your own time and effort just so you can feel like you're getting some perceived value out of it. They're meant to be a catch-up currency, so, if you're all caught up, could just start ignoring it.
