Everything is an opinion, even the devs view on it. For example Yoshida has the opinion that this was the only way to implement Blue while players already posted their view on this which might have given us a new interesting job. He is human after all so he can make mistakes too.

The money and manpower is quite restricted (at least according to Yoshida). So much that even giving Viera and Hrothgars some headgears was done by some employees in their spare time. Its also shown through the act of getting less dungeons over time and them even having a problem finishing Hrothgar for fanfest.

We also always get new normal jobs that need to be balanced and that is already not easy.

Now with limited jobs they have made something which seemingly barely anyone even got to lvl 50 which is the easiest part of it..so in NA and EU not even 20% of the playerbase is even interested to bring it to max level. Yet they still had put in their time to create all these animations for the player character, create a system to gather these skills, make sure that its at least a bit balanced in some ways (and have to even change it up) and then create all the extra content with it like the carneval and now the blue mage log. And with that the work is not done (only if they throw that concept away) because they will have to update it again and again. Create new skills again and again. For something really niche. (And these numbers dont even tell them if people enjoyed it)

Now imagine they introduce even more limited jobs. They might be similar but each needs its own content, its own skills, its own balance..at least with normal jobs you have the argument that they are used widely and with every content. This one is limited in content and seemingly its playstyle and use barely makes people play it. I am looking forward to seeing how long this new log will work...and how fast people will post that they cant find other Bluemages, especially for the 24 man.
