Limited Job #2: Beastmaster

One of my favorite jobs from Final Fantasy XI was Beastmaster. I loved taming various creatures and using them in battle. It was also such a solo-friendly job to play. While I know many people are against another limited job, I think BST could really cater to it with collecting mob companions, and I think they could create a really cool questline and challenges to go with it.

Limited jobs are a colossal waste of dev time. The game currently suffers from lacking endgame content as is, and now that we know limited job means its not going to be supported for relevant content at all, people will not do the same as they did with BLU and actually bother with it, unless they are part of the tiny minority who want to mess around with it for more than an hour or two, or are completionists (another tiny TIIIIIINY minority).

Next job must be a healer, and we need more relevant content. We also BADLY need horizontal item progression, the current itemization is an insult to the community.

I may not have leveled BLU past 30, but I like the concept and reading all the lore in the spell book.

I would love to see this, and I think a limited job would be the best way to do it. So count me as a supporter. Get some Void creatures and Sin eaters in there too. I've been wanting a title along the lines of "Sin Eater Friend" since we can just adopt one as a mount and have Forgiven Hate following us around. What's a few more to the collection?

Personally, I’m going to be pretty disappointed if we yet again do not see a healer in 5.5 or 6.0.

As much as pet collecting was my favorite part of playing a hunter on WoW, I don't see the point in another limited job unless it can actually do roulettes.

i rather preffer they don't waste more time and resources from the dev combat team making this useless limited jobs and let them focus on the real ones instead.

Don't pay the backlash against limited jobs much mind, there's a lot of people who like them - myself included. As I see it, they're not too different to FSH. Basically more of a mini-game than an actual job but valuable all the same to those who enjoy such things in RPG's.

I predict that once the limited job system is cemented with a second limited job more people will recognise that there's plenty of room for niche content. I don't ever intend to do the ultimate raids, though I wouldn't want them removed just because they're niche content.
