I tried BLU because that sounds cool. That sounds cool, but it's not when you cannot get a spell because you don't have any party to go in a dungeon and you cannot continue the BLU quests because you don't have the spell you cannot get because you don't have a party. Soloing job? Yeah, well done! So, if Beastmaster is a limited job for soloing, don't lock « beasts » in dungeons!

I agree with you Nephisto through I found that if you doing PF for blue magic spell it is pretty easy to do.

I feel like making Beastmaster also a gathering class MIGHT make it more feasible as a Limited. Considering you are playing a hunter specifically if I'm not mistaken, it could be a more reliable way of gathering skins for leather.

I think it be good thing to make bst I been said it be good for summoner because force SE to work out how they want complex pet job to be and allow them to exam summoner in turn to see what bst could teach them on improve summoner.
I like it to be tame pet job where you raise pets and fight along side them I think if I had my way they turn haul break isle into the stable for bst they go they stable they pet and unlock new ones there. you find stuff to unlock new pets in treasure chest and the like
Make the "limited" aspect of BST something any job can do and then have BST be a full job that has different pets involved in different attacks like Rei said. Then whenever (if) they get back to egi glamour, unlock the ability for BST to swap some skins for pets around and some of these skins unlocked through the "beast taming" side content. To me that would be the best way to anger the least amount of people.

many see limit job as problem I see them as solution I see bst as chance improve summoner. first off bst should have some similatiry to hunter for wow but not much player should be able play bst along side blue mage the two party up and fight beast master should have ability to tame pet picture bst find baby Courel and raise them to adult through a process of lvls this ideal for swg but bst raise them to adult fight side with they pet. a hybrid pet job to view as

Many people in-game actually don't see limited jobs as a problem and have had a lot of fun with BLU since 5.1. The main people who have problems with BLU are people who either haven't leveled it or people who cannot live without it being a full job, no matter how good the content is.
Edit: I actually went through this entire post to verify my claim. Its a small portion size, but I hope it illustrates the point within this thread. Through all 22 pages there have been 30 people who have expressed displeasure or negativity against limited jobs, of those people, only 7 had actually levelled the job to 60, heck the vast majority hadn't even levelled it to 50. What we are seeing is negativity from people using third-hand information, and not actually having played what makes the job good (i.e. the improvements made in 5.1).
Let me repeat that, only 21% of the people complaining within this thread have actually played the endgame (i.e. the vast majority of content) of BLU.

It doesn't take a genius to think that BLU and limited jobs is awful game design. Sure, your opinion would have more merit if you've experienced it to its fullest, but it's not that deep to find out the mistakes they've done with BLU.Many people in-game actually don't see limited jobs as a problem and have had a lot of fun with BLU since 5.1. Seriously, all you need to know is that it's limited. A playable job that can't access ALL content like the other jobs. And to think they did that so it can keep true to its roots. FFXIV has been pretty good with keeping job tradition while having the gameplay fit well with FFXIV's combat, and BLU is just a disappointment because they didn't bother to do so.
It also alienates people who love BLU, the people who have been asking for it in FFXIV, only to find out they made it some joke, a mini game. Imagine your favorite job being limited, would you be happy about that?

That's your opinion, my dude. I think the design of BLU is great. Some people want different things from FFXIV.
