Support request for Poetics cap raised to 10k

I have gotten a lot of support in game from people when I talk about raising the Poetic cap. I was told to post it in the forums to make it seen by more people. Please if you are in favor of seeing the Poetics cap raised show your support here!

They're very easily amassed. MSQ roulette alone gives 300+ each time. I often earn them quicker than I can spend them.

5k might be a good start frankly, but either way a cap increase would be nice. I'm always capped at the rate things give poetics in this game even if I go and spend them for crafting items to then re-sell on the MB.

It'd result in less frequent trips to Idyllshire to purchase demicrystals, so this gets a plus one from me.

It's more to do with the fact that they're annoying given how frequently you hit them if you run content with any frequency, so you have to stop, unload them on stuff to sell to avoid hitting the cap.

I guess they want to avoid people buying huge quantities of items and tanking the prices (probably more so for scrips), but for both scrips and tomes, it just becomes a chore with it set to 2k. I'd say 10k for Poetics would be fine.

At this point I'm stuck w/ gear that is 50/60/70 to use poetics, cluttering inventory space cause my classes aren't there yet.


Would be nice if I didn't have to worry about wasting Poetics for the gear I'm eventually getting anyway.

I would appreciate a larger cap~! I've accidentally hit cap few times as they're really easy to collect... Worse when you forgot to check your tomestones before going into MSQ and it's like 1/10 of the reward will be accepted at the end lol. Nice.

While you don't need to you could even make it a content concept or something- building Rowena's tomestone library affords you a larger personal storage. Perhaps each beast tribe has a fairly high costing (in their tokens) item you can turn into her, each increasing the cap by a respectable amount. This cap process could be applied for both (individually or simultaneously) the poetic and mid tier tomestones without much balance issue I think, and apply some value to older content. For balance reasons you'd probably want to avoid doing it to the "end game" tomestones though (the one that has a weekly cap). I imagine an actual library that holds all the little books and notes (like in dungeons they've little scrawls) in game could be cute. I have a vague feeling that tool from our new raid which has gained it's own menu space in our logs might do that or at least could (perhaps connects to Rowena's space, going back to that idea we're building up a library).

It doesn't need a physical space but if you were really trying to shoot for the moon lol- you might make it more than just that as a physical location like Doman Reconstruction w/ many upgrades and long term game potential (through many expansions) like Cid's workshop, personal airship dock, Aether Forge and Crystal Library, chocobo farm (raise/breed chocobos, connects to chocobo content), etc, a place that sort of acts like a WoW garrison (a lower memory costing home base, less customization than a house though it still can have 'some').

That's a really huge tangential ideas though.. Doesn't need to do that for the simple QoL of "give us more tomestone space" XD. Just thought of a lore excuse which sort of bred into a garrison home base, self made baby hub (which ideally has an easy exit to a town/current end game hub so players will still leave to idle in those places).

Anyway- yes please lol.

Definitely support, 2k is not enough to buy a whole set of gear and the upgrade materials needed for them.
