Personally i would prefer that to gain access to SB and onwards content you have to go through an intermediate novice challenge where it goes through all currently used consistent markers, why i choose SB onwards is due to HW starting to unify them but it still has oddballs yet to be consistent (1st stack marker in msq is Nidhogg in Final Steps of Faith etc).
Given how many markers and mechanics there are, content like that would essentially just be guildhests dressed up differently.

And I don't think that's really a bad thing. With the introduction of the new GATE The Slice is Right, I'd be really excited to see more short-iteration content that utilizes mechanics found later in the game. I'd love to see more small short things available to train players to understand certain things, so that when those mechanics are used in more difficult content, they could, conceivably, dispense with making them simple or less punishing early in the fights. They could, potentially, tweak the difficulty of bosses up (just a little bit), if they were to move some of the learning stages into separate content.
