Constant disconnects when changing between maps

Starting Saturday, I have been getting 90001-6 errors and disconnects almost every time the PC client loads a new map. Entering an instance, using an aetheryte, taking a ferry or airship, trying to enter an inn room, and even reviving after a death will disconnect me 95% of the time.

When I'm not changing maps, the game runs flawlessly: chat, marketboard, retainers, combat, etc all work with no issues and no significant lag.

I've checked the ping and tracert, and they show no issues until I try to change maps, in which case they immediately start showing 100% packet loss and timeouts. And I mean immediately: if I change maps while a ping test still has a data packet left to send, that packet will be lost as soon as the game screen turns black, while everything before it went through with no losses. Nothing changed on my end between Friday night (when I finished Stormblood's MSQ) and Saturday morning, and nothing else is having any issues.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

You mentioned running a trace route, are you able to provide the results of that test?

What have you tried so far in order to alleviate the issue? Is your connection wired or wireless?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
