Fix fishing

I have to let out a small rant, how can it be that i do collectables that are 2 addons lower then my gear, i have mixed level 80 gear yet i can't catch a few collectables for zhloes deliveries and it still fails even with precise and other skills?

This RNG is way to much, i am used to RNG but fishing takes the cake, i just want to make use of the bonus this week that is on fisher only for me this week.

But this is ridiclious, crafting you at least have some rotation and minor control, miner and botanik aswell, but this, this is way to overdone, not to speak of to many fish exisitng by now, one fishing spot has like 8-10 fish, how are you supposed to fish something specific if every fish bites with the right bait but not the ones you try to get and only one bites like every hour, on top of then barely reaching the collectable conditions despite overgeared by two addons and 20 levels?

As said i am normally fine with such but today this reached my breaking point, and don't start with "i have the whole week time", yes i do but compare it to crafting or the other gatheres, compare the time you need for it to the fishing. It is both delieveries so it should be close to the same timespam, if not raise it to MQS standards since it is bascially watching an hour cutscenes aswell.

Still enjoy this game i want to add but this today grinded my gears.

Edit: How come fishing not ignores non-collectables like the other crafters do anyway when collectable passive runs, you still end up getting normal HQ Fish if you want collectables only, it is enough already that you randomly get other collectables aswell on top of all the fishs in the fishing spots, it stacks to much up Square Enix!

Agreed.

Custom Deliveries should be exempt from the general randomness of fishing. It's stupid that fishing deliveries always take WAY longer than anything else. IMO they should add a special bait to the vendors that sell the Custom Delivery crafting mats that catches only the delivery fish. Lets us skip the random on Custom Deliveries while having no effect on fishing in general.

might as well just talk to zhloe and she just gives the reward from not doing anything since they already added 1 button HQ skill for crafting.

It's already been simplified 100% since they made changes to the way collectables work.
You should have done it back before that change. That was fun.


Just a matter of researching best bait and best tactics, since it's not as simple as pick a spot and fish, as some require extra steps or certain conditions.

unless the fishing is on bonus and you specifically are after gatherer scrip then i personally wouldn't bother with fishing for custom deliveries imo.

Since they added the Metal Spinner lure, which works for ALL weekly collectible fish from Zhloe to Kai-Shirr and can be bought from the collectible mat vendors, weekly collectible fishing is just as simple as the others. Use the Metal Spinner and the weekly turn-in fish will bite much more often. It shouldn't be getting away very often unless you're using the wrong hookset under patience. It's not always Precision.

Also, weekly collectible fish do not have any weather or time requirements. You do, in fact, just pick a spot and fish until you get them.
