The Copied Factory loot rules are garbage.

This one drop a week stuff is pointless and aggravating. After several runs trying to get my healer gloves, which they never dropped, I decided to go in as tank on a last minute run. Of course I get my tank drop 1 MINUTE AFTER THE SERVER RESETS!!!
And to add insult to injury, 9S dropped a second tank drop and the healer gloves I chased all last week. Long story short I got no drop last week and screwed out drops I needed this week because the loot rules are pointless and stupid.

Let me get my flame shield up for all the people who will try to tell me I'm wrong because I dared to question Squeenix.

My opinion on Copied Factory:

I am there for the coin for upgrading deepshadow to augmented. Yorha drops are for sub class. And cracked clusters.

At this point you don't necessarily need to go in with the class you're trying to get gear for. The other effect of the loot roll restriction is that people won't be rolling on everything just because they can, just so they can trade it for GC seals or desynthesise it. So your chance of acquiring an item you do roll on is much higher.

I guess the degree of frustratingness depends on how specific your wishlist is, and how urgently you want it.

(Restricted loot rolls meant I collected the entire Orbonne tank set while it was current without having to play as tank to get it.)

Why did you run as tank and not healer? Why did you roll on the first tank drop at all? If you had been patient, you would have gotten the second tank drop. If you hadn't changed your mind and gone as healer, you may well have gotten the gloves. If you wait a couple of months, loot will be free roll anyway. Loot rules are the way they are to keep people running the content.

Run it earlier, and don't roll for "I just need anything for the week" when the reset is about to happen. The weekly reset is at the same time every week, displayed in multiple UI locations (/timers, /currency, /challengelog).

Thanks for that useless information. As I had said before and you clearly didn't bother to read, I had already run the raid 5 times that week as healer. The gloves are the only piece I need from the set and the RNG was not cooperating at all. I'll state AGAIN that I went in as a tank because I had no tank drops and wanted to get something before the server reset, but a tank drop didn't happen until Engels and it didn't happen until 12:01 am. So basically I got screwed over by the moronic loot rules.

And frankly I don't care that it keeps people running the raid. Squeenix already got my $15 this month and that's fine, but when they screw up like this I'm sure as hell gonna let them know it.

Not sure how SE 'screwed up', the loot rules for raids didn't suddenly change without you being informed. Nor did the reset timer. If anyone screwed up, as you put it, that sounds like it was you.

Offering feedback in a polite and positive fashion is one thing. Screaming, being rude, and insulting the folks who make the game isn't going to get you anything except ignored

It has always been like that. Be patient, some time before Patch 5.2, the restrictions will be lifted and you can win all of the loot in one go.

Because all I can see is you screwing yourself over by waiting to the last minute to get your gear - well, that or if you want to go the way of "If this gear had dropped 2 minutes sooner" wouldnt the raid be to blame for not getting to the chest 2 minutes sooner? Or your partymembers for not rolling on the stuff right away instead of waiting for the loot-timer to run out?

No. No, I'm sorry, SE didnt screw up here. Its very clearly communicated when the weekly reset is, that it involves the loot from the Factory and if you do a last minute run like that and put getting your loot off anf off again you have to expect to leave empty handed for the week.
Whats the big deal anyways? This gear is only catch-up or glamour gear anyways - you can pretty much do all casual content in 450, you can get 460 for tomes and if you're raiding the 460 from the 24-man shouldnt even be a real option for you.

You've got plenty of time to run and farm the factory. The gloves will drop again, promise.
