Two person party option with Trusts or Squadron, why doesn't this exist?

Recently my wife and kids started playing FFXIV. I had been mainly solo for last several months. My family starting to play the game pointed out a glaring issue with trusts and or Squadrons, there is no option to party with another player in a dungeon to get exp for two people. I know the option that doesn't give experience, but that is not any good for new players. Why does SE not support small groups better with either trusts or squadron. For those out there, saying do deep dungeon, we have but that gets boring pretty quick. SE we need some options for regular dungeon play with 2 or 3 players and a trust/squad member.

I am sure this has been discussed in length, but I didn't see it when I did a search. So apologies in advance, if its out there already.

They talked about it when they introduced trusts. Apparently having two players confuses the trust AI - things like who to prioritise for healing.

Why do Trusts even exist? Does anyone really want to guide the horrible Trust AI through Holminster Switch 25 times?

Yes. A lot of people would much rather run with trusts than a DF group. There are a number of threads that make this point. Personally I always run with friends, if friends aren't available I run with my squadron/trusts. Shockingly it is a great deal more fun than a DF group, the trusts actually TALK for a start ....

Excuse me for not being a fan of the party AI, or of Holminster Switch in particular.

You asked a question. I answered it. Not sure why my answer prompted you to respond as though my liking for the Trusts was somehow something you should take personally?

It is optional for one person to progress trough the story and leveling, making it optional for 2 or more players would cause people staying to themself.

This is a MMO, you are suppsoed to interact with people, even if its minor and some idiots of course can also exist, but this is not a single player or coop game with a onlien chat option also.

Online, play with people even if you or them never talk at all, socialisng even if its low, if they ignore it, happens often sadly yes, but the changes are low you will meet them again in random groups, i had alot of talkitive people in groups and raids, sometiems then just quiet people.

People are individuals, some talk like a waterfall, others silent to no end. No one can force you to such, but you should expect in an MMO to be with others and met them, wanted or not.

Personal opinion, the Trust and Squadron are bad ideas, nice as option but then again, why play an MMO if i not want to talk to people at all, if not with randoms you atleast have friends or guild members right? At least if you are not one of those 500+ Guilds who are big just for the sake of being big and never talk to each other inside.

It's like going into a swimming pool and complain you have to wear a swimsuit or so.

It's not about "wanting to run Holminster Switch 25 times" (not that you need quite that many to level up anyway, but it's still tedious on repeat) - the primary purpose of them is to help you get through the MSQ; the level-grinding part seems tacked on.

I used them all through my initial run of the story - aside of the reduced queue times for a DPS role, the real appeal for me is seeing the other characters' comments and interactions.

It's also great to be able to take your time and admire the scenery. Most recently for the Grand Cosmos...
when I reached the feasting hall and the ballroom, I just ran around and looked at all the details. It stopped being a dungeon for a few minutes. I appreciated it.

Then I went with a friend who was doing it for their first time. Queue through duty finder, playing with a "real" party... we were in one end of the room and out the other at full speed. If that was my first experience, my sense of awe would have been ruined.

the same reason 3 5 6 7 9 10 11 etc etc content doesnt exist. everything is 4 8 or gtfo which has destryed a lot of groups over the years... try to run a fc event and you got 6 people for example... what can you do... unsync some old primals maybe thats about it... anything else is either leave 2 folks behind or grab some outsiders that might conflict with your groups goals..

it's a very antisocial design even when you have a perfect 4 or 8 the nature of the combat system button mash makes it even more antisovcial..

I would love to have this for two people, coz with wife we could do that

and Ai would be confused ?

It sound like cheap excuse, because they have already algorithms for what job heal when, and believe me the AI stand in aoes like psycho - taking one AI less to replace with human would make it better
