Filter for Market Board

I think this has been brought up before, but I've never run into it. On Friday, I was doing my usual Fashion Report run. All I needed for the 80 was to dye my gear the right colors. I got some from the beast tribes and harvested the others. I had plenty, so when I was done, I put the rest on the market. I was surprised when the soot black wasn't selling and that's when I saw that the first 100 sales were all for quantity 99 at a fairly low price. In order for my small sales to be seen, I had to lower my price below all the others. A filter for things like under X quantity would help with such issues. I looked for a filter, but didn't see it.

It's sorted Lowest Cost Per Item. So yes, you have to beat the cost per item to be up near the top. If people want to pay more for a smaller quantity, they'll browse through. I know I usually do.

Being able to sort by Actual price instead of Individual price would be great.

The entire auction system needs to be scrapped and overhauled. It's even more barebones than the auction system WoW uses, which is a feat I didn't know was possible.

Being able to buy items by the quantity the seller wants should ALWAYS be an option.

Being able to filter with multiple requirements would go a long way to improving the MB.

Although it is sorted by cost per item, if there are multiple listings with the same cost per item, it lists them in descending order by stack size. I think at the least, those should be listed in ascending order.

Blame retainers, Blame legacy system it was built, Blame the Mogstation, and probably three other things I am missing. The cash cow that is retainers should be removed from MBs and storage.

Now that's clearly an overstatement... More filter options would be great, but more "barebones" then WoW's AH? Really?

I feel like this needs to be said - different buyers have different needs, priorities, and pickiness when it comes to spending habits.

Don't just assume that being at the top of the list is the #1 priority if the item in question is selling in stacks of 99 and you're going to put it up in groups of something like 5. If your price is reasonable and you're offering a small quantity of the item, that's incentive alone for many people to buy from you and not the others.

You don't need to lower the price to below the 99 stacks, you just need to reduce the quantity of the item. People will look for the overall cheapest option and not the cheapest per unit, this happens a lot with dyes and food, but lowering the price by 1 Gil on low quantity items would be the best imo, you wouldn't ruin the market but still get people to notice and buy your stuff quicker.

But yeah, some sorta filter that allowed us to see the total price and not the price per unit would likely be nice, as it would get rid of those ridiculous stacks of 99 whatever, but at the same time it might ruin the selling market by encouraging people to sell things at ridiculously low prices by having them at 1 unit, but I feel it would do more food than bad as not everyone would be interested in destroying the market for sellers.
