The 1st Relic Weapon Quests

I am currently trying to gain light for my Bravura Novus, but I can’t seem to gain any light on any dungeons. I’ve ran low level dungeons, the level 50 dungeons, level 60 dungeon, Fates and no light gained while Equipped with the correct weapon. I’m going by guides online and nothing is working. When I attempt to use the Zodiac Glass, it says “Unable to use Zodiac Glass. You do not have compatible weapon equipped.” Jalzahn is asking for the Nexus weapon for me to continue, but I can’t gain any light. Has the steps changed from the old guides? Is it a different method now? What am I missing?

This is the correct answer most likely. Theres a step between Novus and Nexus which he adds the soulglaze to your weapon that allows it to gain light.

you might be trying to use the zodiac glass from a previous weapon since it doesn't go away, so you need to throw it away and have jalzahn or gerolts apprentice to reissue you another for the weapon you want to gain light for

This my 1st relic I’m trying to finish. He just gave me the Zodiac Glass. As soon Jalzahn & Gerolt gave me the Zodiac Glass, their icons turned red. The next quest is “Wherefore Art Thou, Zodiac “

Does he automatically SoulGlaze your weapon? I know he mentioned it. Is there a separate process after the Sphere scroll part?

did you talk to gerolt, then jalzahn twice? he should have a option to do it if i remember

Jalzahn has an option "Relic Weapon Novus Soulglazing"

Its above Animus Enhancement and below Novus Enhancement.

He does not automatically do it. And if its for PLD, you have to do both the sword, and the shield separately.
