Monk Needs a Complete Rework

I agree wholeheartedly. Monk has always been eclipsed by NIN on every single patch note from ARR to now, and everything has always leaned into making it fun to play. Literally from 4.0 on wards has put NIN on a pedestal as the fastest DPS, and every single patch notes I have read monk is the LEAST altered. Warrior has more patch fixes and alterations then monk! Stormblood patch notes are the biggest offense to to Monk IMO.

Pretty sure I gave monk up prior to 4.1 when I noticed how trash it was. From 4.0 to 4.25 is the first REAL slap in the face for monk. We got wind tackle upgrade to add GL, perfect balance CD cut in half and some potency changes. And after that it get's better! 4.3~ made it so...get this...brotherhood effects everyone around the monk! WTH? and then another 4.0 patch they change brotherhood to effect the monk's themselves. And that's it...that's all we got from Stormblood....read the archived patch notes. It's like they didn't even try with monk in stormblood. Stormblood took the identity of monk and tossed it into a bottomless well. And to add insult to injury...MONK WAS THE WARRIOR OF LIGHTS CHOICE IN THE OPENING CINEMATIC!.....but ironically....SWITCHED TO SAMURAI!! It's like SE knew it was going to happen.

Man now i'm just upset after reading all the patch notes from 2.0 to now and monk is constantly spit in the face every subsequent patch released. While NIN and SAM hold hands skipping away because their jobs are fixed and make sense. It's like Monk got that left over box of crayons in school where they are all broken and you have like 8 oranges, no green, and the only blue's you have are Rose Art. While NIN and SAM's parents bought them each the 128 count crayola with the sharpener in the back, and they break it out to make the best coloring pictures in the class room. While the teacher is just giving them GOLD STARS ALL FREAKING DAY...while your pictures look like smeared poo and they just get's a "That's great!?...What is it of?" from the teacher while you try to hold back the tears of envy and resentment until get home, throw your book bag at your parents, scream I hate you, run upstairs, throw yourself on your bed, and cry until dinner time.

In case your not keeping track:
NIN and SAM - Get what they want because their respect parents love and understand them
MNK - Get's leftovers and is forced to deal due to no love from parents and wishes had NIN and SAM's parents
MNK's Parents - SE proper and wishes their child were more like NIN and SAM, can't understand what's wrong with their child.
DRG - is the quite kid in school that nobody picks on, and likes it that way, just loving life.

Just wanna say I agree with you and Sora but since I've mained sam since SB.

Sam for sure didn't get any love from the devs until 5.14? I forget when they fixed sam shoha and sam finally become what its suppose to do.

Sam was mediocre to almost bad for almost all of SB so they for sure didn't get any love, and decent for the first half of ShB until we got our shoha fixed.

But this is about job gameplay rather than job performance so I don't wanna get off track.
