    Ya mnk mch and whm all got some lackluster changes in patch 4.5. Mnk had the potencies had moves increased should you not meet the positional requirement and the only real buff was the fist of fire going from 5 to 6 percent lol. Whm had the aggro reduction on its healing moves, assize got super buffed and pi got buffed too. Mch was all the ammo bonuses went from 25 to 30 potency, hot shot damage from 8 to 10 percent, and ricochet from 300 to 320.

    Usually thats how all late expansion "reworks", it's not changing the core gameplay but trying to lessen the flaws by making what it has stronger than what it was before, to varying degrees of success. Astro buffs in 3.4 comes to mind and same with the blm and sam buffs in 4.4.

    They should have mentioned those changes during the Live Letter, they're actually indicative that they're taking Monk feedback for once instead of being completely out of touch with the playerbase. They don't fix all of the problems, but Monk should be much more consistent overall and less locked into physical party compositions now.

    Overall I am quite happy with these changes although it would have been way better if Yoshi had actually revealed these changes during the LL rather than waiting for the patch notes, as we got next to no info from the LL leaving a lot of us scratching our heads.

    Some of these changes are insanely good, 100% chance to open chakra on a crit, Brotherhood is finally no longer dependent on a phys comp, TK is actually usable now even if it's just a replacement for steal peak. I really hope this groundwork is now solid enough for a proper expansion of the monk job in 6.0 as it is no longer shackled by GL. Anatman is now on life support as a skill so it's either going to turn into a dead button or get a proper revamp with 6.0

    I am not a Monk main at all, so I am a little bit confused with one of the changes.
    Can anyone clarify what Form Shift does now? Sounds like it is just basically a 7th stack of Perfect Balance? Or is there something I am missing?
    Does this not apply for weapons skills used during perfect balance : "Any additional effects associated with the executed action will also be applied." ??

    Weaponskills done with Perfect Balance stacks will not change your stance while Weaponskills performed with Formless Fist will change your stance.

    Basically Form shift will now be used as opener to get Twin Snakes damage buff. Perfect Balance is used for a burst combo. Form shift is on GCD so it could technically be used like PB but you'd be losing damage doing it.

    So from the patch notes that I understand is this:

    Perfect Balance = Bunshin and monks are not in the ping burst window category per say. We have 15 seconds to use 6 charges... very doable.

    Anatman = Extend Twin to 30secs and reset your current form timer and halt it. I will test this prior to Perfect Balance to see how it carries through the 6 charges and keep your form after the last charge. Tight window for the form, but that's where the fun is. This is kind of acting like inner release extending the Strom timer to give you more flexibility during your burst phase. I'll test this out further on Tuesday.

    Tornado Kick = monks rotation now and begs the question when to use it. Should be used after twin is up, and can now be weaved much better. I just don't know when.... since it's 2 every 90seconds. So it's outside of Brotherhood and RoF buffs, so should I still prioritize Twin, Brotherhood, RoF right before demolish goes up, and once demolish is up pop TK into Anatman -> Perfect Balance for high DPS weaving my Forbiddens/Enlightenments.

    Brotherhood = a good and bad. The good a true double raid buff, Raid's get a flat bonus, and monk get's the added magic and melee opening a chackra chance. Over capping on chackra.

    Chacka(meditation) = Good and Bad. Like the above, chackra seems like it will over cap now like crazy and weaving it needs to happen constantly. With out GL uptime being an issue this might be perfectly fine

    This seems to be exactly what yoshi p did in the live letter footage with out the anatman....only twin wore off with the last Perfect Balance charge with a double dragon to start the next GCD combo into Dragon > Twin > Demolish

    Form shift > Wind tackle > Twin > Brotherhood > Riddle of Fire > Demolish > Forbidden > Dragon > Elixir > Tornado> > Perfect Balance > Bootshine > Dragon > Bootshine > Dragon > Bootshine > Dragon > Dragon > Twin > Forbidden > Demolish > SSS

    I'm not sure why you would use a anatman at all when not in forced downtime ESPECIALLY after PB
