I know I would absolutely use this feature, and if it did connect to the Mog Station then there is a pretty good chance it would convince me to spend the occasional cash there.

Yes please, i've wanted this for so long since theres really no good way to try on glams that we or no one we know has. This would help so much for glam hunters, and it'd be nice if there was a search system too with tags on each glam, like if we wanted just coats or something we could search for only those.
I cant really see why anyone would disagree with your idea, it's just one more quality of life improvement that would benefit everyone who hunts glams and hinder no one.
There is always something disagreeable. I can think of some counter arguments to my suggestion myself. None reasonable, but still there nonetheless.
I would hope that this thread receives enough feedback to be floated higher and to be considered at least. If it is impossible due to server load, then so be it. A direct rejection is welcome acknowledgement all the same.
I fully support this idea, especially with Mog Station items. I would honestly think this would be a no brainer. I don't mean to sound trollish, but I'm genuinely curious: what possible valid reason could anyone have for opposing it?
If I were to oppose this idea I would say thus.
1. Lore wise it wouldn't make sense for someone to be able to know what glams from a specific location are without having been there.
2. It tarnishes the spirit of exploration and learning.
3. It encourages mogstation sales. And less purchases from mogstation means more glams possibly added in game.
4. Resources no matter how small could/should be spent elsewhere.
5. It adds strain on the servers which wouldn't make it worth implementing.
Just off the top of my head if I were to argue against it. But counter point in order, Market Board, Market Board, Mogstation helps the game and SE grow, experimental qol is not a bad thing, no one would know this for sure but an actual dev on the team.
I hadn't thought of any of that before, and thank you for the answer! If I were to oppose this idea I would say thus.

I'm of the same mind that resources acquired through the Station could only financially boost FF and SE, thus funding more development of the game itself (at least I would hope!) But points one and two struck home the closest to me, as I'm in love with both the game lore and the very spirit of exploration. The idea of something new and wonderful possibly being around every undiscovered corner is always a delight to me. :3
Still, I do have a lazy streak when it comes to my alts. Chapter and level boosts are a bit of an addiction for me, and Mog Station is the only available dealer that can sate it. XD
Add a toggle to determine whether or not it shows Mog Station items. Simple enough.
Similarly, a toggle to hide items that are no longer available, like the Yokai Watch weapons or the Amatsu outfit.
Although I would much rather have items be obtainable in-game as opposed to being purchased with real money, I understand the merit in the MogStation's existence. The items are after all, optional. Simple as that.
I see no reason why there shouldn't be an option to preview MogStation items. You'd be able to make more informed purchases and know what looks good on you and what doesn't. Screenshots can only do so much, and you're not always going to be able to have someone link it to you. I would really like to be able to preview MogStation furniture too. Nothing sucks more than paying for something only to see that it doesn't work as well as you thought and wind up throwing it into storage.
I would love to see that implemented
Give Jandelaine a "Dressing room" option and do this plz. Move to a private instance with all glamour options available and the ability to save looks along with tooltips mentioning where to acquire the pieces as well..
+1
There's a lot of stuff I kinda want but don't know how it'd go with my current looks.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
